Knowledge of IPTV & OTT & DTH service architecture.
Knowledge of Video Streaming protocols, RTSP, SmoothStreaming, HTSPStreaming, HLS, etc.
Knowledge of DVB, ATSC, etc. standards.
Knowledge of DRMs and Conditional Access.
Knowledge of video signal distribution in IP networks (CDN).

What you'll do
WE WANT PEOPLE LIKE YOU...You will be responsible for executing the evolution of the contribution, processing, encoding, ingestion, distribution, and recording capabilities of audiovisual content for Movistar+, ensuring the end-to-end delivery of linear and on-demand services over IPTV, OTT, and DTH platforms, guaranteeing the committed quality, availability, and efficiency levels.
WHAT CHALLENGES YOU WILL FACE ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS
Challenge 1: Planning and execution of audiovisual capabilities
Define and ensure the execution of the roadmap for audiovisual contribution, processing, encoding, ingestion, distribution, and recording capabilities, aligning the evolution of the platform with business needs, service commitments, and Movistar+'s strategic objectives.
Challenge 2: End-to-end service assurance
Guarantee the availability, quality, continuity, and performance of IPTV, OTT, DTH, and VoD services, coordinating with the involved areas to ensure compliance with the committed service levels.
Challenge 3: Technological evolution and innovation
Identify opportunities for transformation, modernization, and automation within the context of video headend and distribution, and incorporate industry best practices and trends to ensure the sustainability, scalability, and competitiveness of the services.
Challenge 4: Efficient management of resources, investments, and providers
Optimize the utilization of the technical and economic resources under your responsibility, as well as the relationship with providers and manufacturers, guaranteeing maximum efficiency and return on investment.
Challenge 5: Technical support
Technical support to different M+ departments or external operators in the feasibility analysis of technical projects and/or in their execution.
Specialized support in incident resolution
Challenge 6: Training
Continuous technical training/information for the departments in charge of the operation of the M+ service
