The role

At Maxwell Applied Technologies, we develop advanced radio frequency and microelectronics solutions for telecommunications, defense, space, radar, satellite, and emerging high-frequency technology applications. Our team works on the design of cutting-edge integrated circuits using III-V and CMOS/SiGe technologies for the next generation of RF and microwave systems.

We are looking to bring on board an RF MMIC & Analog Mixed-Signal IC Designer with experience in the design of highly integrated RF front-ends and high-performance analog circuits.

What you'll do

  • Design, simulation, and validation of MMIC and RFIC circuits in III-V technologies (GaAs, GaN, InP) and silicon-based technologies (CMOS, SOI, SiGe BiCMOS).

  • Development of RF blocks for transmit and receive front-ends, including:

    • Power Amplifiers (PA)

    • Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA)

    • Mixers

    • Phase Shifters

    • Variable Gain Amplifiers (VGA)

    • Drivers

    • Attenuators

    • RF Switches

    • Oscillators and PLLs

  • Design of analog and mixed-signal circuits associated with RF systems.

  • Performing electromagnetic simulations and EM/circuit co-simulation.

  • Design and optimization of matching networks, biasing, and stability.

  • Development of high-frequency layouts following RFIC/MMIC best practices.

  • Participation in tape-out activities, physical verification, and validation using probe stations and PCBs.

  • Circuit characterization in the laboratory and measurement-simulation correlation.

  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary systems, packaging, and test teams.
