About the role

At Veolia España we are looking to bring in a Lawyer reporting to the Head of Legal Advisory for the northern area for our offices in Zamudio, Bizkaia.

Functions:

  • Comprehensive management and support in public tenders: Planning, coordination, and preparation of bids for public tenders, ensuring legal compliance at all stages of the process.
  • Analysis of tender documents and business advisory: Resolving legal queries on tender specifications and providing direct legal advice to commercial teams in the submission of bids and information requirements.
  • Drafting of risk notes and appeals: Preparation of legal risk notes for bids and drafting of claim and appeal documents, especially in administrative and contentious-administrative proceedings.
  • Commercial contract drafting and review: Review, drafting, and revision of all types of civil and commercial contracts (works, services, leases, NDAs) related to business activity, as well as monitoring their subsequent performance.
  • Procedural monitoring and follow-up: Coordination, promotion, and continuous follow-up of all administrative files, submitted bids, signed contracts, and ongoing claims.

Requirements

  • Required education (Mandatory): Degree and Master's in Law.
  • Valuable education: Professional experience in law firms, notaries, in-house legal departments of companies, or in public administration and public bodies.
