Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience developing in COBOL in mainframe environments.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in projects related to payment systems.

  • Accredited C1 level of Spanish.

  • Accredited B2 level of English.

Nice to have

  • Additional experience in z/OS, JCL, or CICS environments (not specified in detail by the applicant).

The role

We are looking to incorporate specialized profiles in mainframe environments to participate in projects linked to the payments sector, working with COBOL technologies in critical high-availability systems.

What you'll do

  • Development and maintenance of applications in mainframe environments using COBOL on z/OS systems.

  • Technical analysis and incident resolution in payment processing systems.

  • Execution of technical, unit, and integration tests in legacy applications.

  • Collaboration with functional teams for the definition and adjustment of technical requirements in payment projects.

  • Implementing evolutionary and corrective updates in payment systems on mainframe architecture.

  • Analyzing existing COBOL code and identifying improvements in performance and stability.

  • Managing production incidents, ensuring service continuity.

  • Documenting developments and changes according to defined technical standards.

How you'll work

The position is based in Barcelona under a hybrid work model, working some days from home and others in the office where you will be able to create interesting synergies with the rest of your team.
It is essential to reside in Spain and have a work permit in Spain.
