What we're looking for

Degree in Industrial, Electrical, Energy Engineering, or similar.
Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning of electrical or energy installations.
Specific experience in utility-scale photovoltaic plants.
Experience as a Commissioning Manager, Commissioning Manager, Senior Commissioning Engineer, or similar.
Solid knowledge of LV, MV, and HV electrical installations, substations, and protection and control systems.
Experience with SCADA, PPC, and renewable plant control systems.
Experience in testing electrical equipment, protections, and relays.
Knowledge of energization, commissioning, and grid connection procedures.
Experience coordinating contractors, manufacturers, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Availability to work on-site in Villena (Alicante).
Fluent Spanish.

Nice to have

A good level of English will be valued.
Experience in large-scale photovoltaic projects.
Experience in commissioning HV substations.

We are looking to hire a Commissioning Manager to participate in the commissioning phase of a major utility-scale solar photovoltaic plant in Villena (Alicante).

What you'll do

The selected person will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising commissioning activities, ensuring that systems and installations are tested, energized, commissioned, and handed over in accordance with the project's technical, contractual, quality, and safety requirements.

Lead and coordinate all commissioning activities, from pre-commissioning to entry into operation.
Develop and monitor the commissioning strategy, procedures, planning, and schedule.
Coordinate commissioning activities with construction, engineering, quality, HSE, contractors, and manufacturers.
Review commissioning procedures, protocols, checklists, and documentation.
Supervise the testing of different LV, MV, and HV electrical systems and equipment.
Coordinate the testing and commissioning of inverters, transformers, transformation centers, switchgear, protections, and high-voltage equipment.
Supervise the testing of substations, electrical protections, relays, transformers, and control systems.
Coordinate the energization of different systems and circuits.
Supervise the functional testing and integration of SCADA, PPC, and communication systems.
Coordinate activities related to grid compliance and grid connection.
Identify and manage technical incidents, punch lists, and pending works during commissioning.
Review test results, certificates, and commissioning documentation.
Prepare progress reports and report the status of commissioning to the project team.
Coordinate the handover from construction/commissioning to operations and maintenance.
Guarantee compliance with HSE and quality requirements during commissioning activities.
