What you'll do

Mission: Support the maritime works team in terms of construction methodologies for maritime projects. Participation in tenders, preparation of technical documentation, support for ongoing projects, and potential travel to project sites.

Functions:
Understand the construction methodologies applied by the Company in maritime works, and stay up to date with the technologies available on the market, in order to propose improvements and innovations in the methodologies applied.

Identify the most suitable structural typology for each project (typically rubble-mound or vertical breakwaters; or caisson, pile, or sheet-pile wharves), advising the design team on the best solution from a construction standpoint.

Prepare technical documentation for tenders, specifically construction methodologies, and collaborate in the preparation of construction schedules and risk assessments. Collaboration is also expected in earlier phases (prequalifications and expressions of interest) that require certain construction-related content.
Collaborate with other departments of the Company, specifically with the Studies Department, when construction input is required. Likewise, collaborate in business development tasks involving the preparation of technical commercial material, and participate in commercial meetings when required.
Participate in meetings with clients and partners when required, explaining the construction strategy, discussing possible solutions, and being able to identify the advantages of each option for the project and for the Company.

Provide support to ongoing maritime works, collaborating in problem-solving and proposing changes and improvements that result in optimizations for the project.

Monitor ongoing maritime projects, ensuring the retention of acquired knowledge and the development of new procedures, when applicable, and lessons learned.
