ACCIONA, in its Energy business line, is looking to hire a CAE Business Manager to join its team at the Madrid Campus.

ACCIONA Energía is looking to hire, within the Energy Services (ESCO) area, a CAE Manager to lead the commercialization of Energy Savings Certificates (CAE), driving the market and optimizing the economic benefit derived from the energy savings of clients and channels.

The professional will be responsible for leading the CAE team, representing the area institutionally, and managing the network of channels and collaborators that originate and contribute to the business, ensuring that each file progresses soundly from acquisition to collection.

The objective of the position is to drive the certificate market and scale the business sustainably, combining institutional and channel development with rigorous operational management of the team and the process.

This role will report to the Director of Energy Services.

What you'll do

  • Directing and coordinating the CAE team, distributing the workload of files and ensuring compliance with commercial objectives and deadlines.
  • Defining the team's organization and commercial planning, and ensuring proper management of contacts and projects in the CRM.
  • Supporting, training, and developing the team, establishing quality standards in savings calculation, pricing, and document management.
  • Acting as the main point of contact with institutions to ensure compliance with the regulatory process and expedite the conversion of energy savings records into certificates.
  • Maintaining and developing the institutional relationship with regulatory bodies, anticipating regulatory changes (e.g., multipliers, technical criteria) that affect the business.
  • Managing the relationship with engineering firms and technical providers involved in the calculation and substantiation of energy savings.
  • Coordinating with verifiers the continuous improvement of the validation process, resolving bottlenecks and ensuring the quality of files before submission.
  • Managing and growing the network of channels and collaborators (agents, agencies, consultancies) under the various collaboration models: without a contract, agency, or sale of savings.
  • Monitoring the performance of each channel and activating commercial action plans when necessary.
  • Actively supporting the acquisition of new opportunities, both from the proprietary portfolio and through channels, especially in more complex accounts or projects.
  • Identifying new commercial opportunities in the certificate market, analyzing the savings potential of energy efficiency improvements.
  • Coordinating with other ACCIONA Energía departments (operations, administration, finance/billing) to ensure the continuity of the file from the agreement stage through to collection.
  • Collaborating with the technical team in the interpretation and analysis of energy savings eligible for certification.

What we're looking for

  • A degree in Engineering or similar technical training.
  • Additional training in energy efficiency is valued.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of projects, with at least 1 year leading teams.
  • Experience in the buying and selling of standardized products, preferably related to energy savings certificates or efficiency markets.
  • Proficiency in CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, and document management systems for tracking files and validating certificates.
