The role

Are you looking to join a high-tech manufacturing, engineering and services company with extensive experience in space launches?

We are talking about a company, a world leader in developing reusable rockets providing commercial access to small satellites.

That is why we are looking for a machining technician (CNC) whose main mission will consist of preparing the different machines/tools, as well as finishing the manufactured parts.

What you'll do

Your duties will be;

Operate computer numerical control machining machines and manual tools to produce precise metal parts according to the drawings and specifications provided.

Experience using manual machining machines, parallel lathe, universal milling machine.

Inspect and measure the parts produced to ensure quality and meet company standards.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machining machines and tools to ensure their proper operation and extend their useful life.

Work as a team with other departments to coordinate production and ensure delivery deadlines are met efficiently.

Ability to modify parameters on the Control.

Requirements

This requires;

Machining qualification or equivalent. Qualification in Production Programming in Mechanical Manufacturing or Design in Mechanical Manufacturing will be valued.
Experience with different types of machines; lathe, multifunction, etc.
Experience with 5-axis machines.
Experience with different types of metals; aluminium, copper, steel, titanium, etc.
Ability to program in ISO code at the machine.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of dimensional and geometric tolerances.
Ability to work as a team and solve problems.
Proficiency with CAD/CAM programs
Knowledge of the Numerical Control environment: Fanuc, Heidenhain, Okuma, etc.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
English speaking knowledge will be valued.
