About the role

Would you like to be part of a family farm where every day is different and there is always something new to learn?

If you are motivated by working with animals, enjoy a rural environment, and want to have the support of a professional and close-knit team from the very start, this opportunity could be ideal for you.

At Adecco, we are looking for a responsible Pig Farm Worker with a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and work, who enjoys day-to-day tasks on a farm and can easily adapt to manual and active work.

What will you do in this role?

On a small farm, the tasks are varied and complete, with constant learning. There is no fixed routine, and your work will be varied and dynamic.

Your tasks will include:

What you'll do

- Feeding and watering the pigs, checking feeders and drinkers.

- Monitoring the health of the animals and reporting any issues.

- Assisting with farrowing, heat detection, and basic piglet care.

- Moving animals between pens and general handling.

- Cleaning pens, farrowing areas, hallways, and common areas.

- Preparing feed or mixtures when necessary.

- Tagging animals and performing basic care (tails, teeth) according to protocol.

What you'll get

- Temporary contract with Adecco with the possibility of joining the permanent staff.

- Full-time position with a schedule from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., allowing you to enjoy every afternoon off and achieve an excellent work-life balance.

- Salary of €10.59 gross per hour.

- Complete training from day one, constant support, and the backing of a professional and close-knit team.

- Real hands-on learning in all areas of a farm: animal handling, assistance with farrowing, basic maintenance, biosecurity, and the overall operation of a pig farm.

- A humane, stable, and trusting work environment, where every person is important and plays a part in the daily running of the farm.

Requirements

- Availability to work Monday to Saturday on the morning shift.

- Own vehicle to travel to Puigpelat, as it is not accessible by public transport.

- No previous experience is required: we will value experience working on farms or with animals, but the most important thing is that you are a person with initiative, a desire to learn, and a strong work ethic.

- Commitment to biosecurity and animal welfare standards.

- Training in Porcine Animal Welfare is highly valued.
