Requirements

What we're looking for

Training in Cooking, Hospitality, a related Certificate of Professionalism, or equivalent knowledge.
Valid Food Handler's Certificate.
Previous experience of at least 1 year in a similar position.
Organizational skills and ability to work in a team.
Attention to detail and commitment to compliance with hygiene and sanitary regulations.
Responsibility, autonomy, and orientation toward service quality.

Nice to have

Experience in socio-sanitary centers, residences, or collective services will be valued.

The role

Are you passionate about cooking and would you like to be part of a team committed to people's well-being? At Fundación Adecco, we are looking to hire a Kitchen Assistant to carry out gastronomic and culinary preparations according to the recipes indicated by the Nutrition, Quality, and Medical Departments, in a Hospital in Mérida.

What you'll do

Assist the cook in the preliminary preparation and conditioning of raw materials (peeling, cutting, chopping, and cleaning)
Collaborate in plating and assembly tasks for diets according to the instructions established by the relevant Departments and the Quality Department.
Perform the cleaning, disinfection, and tidying of tableware, utensils, machinery, and work areas (prep area and common kitchen areas).
Receive, organize, and store merchandise in cold rooms and warehouses, guaranteeing the correct rotation of products.
Prepare and organize raw materials in the defrosting process following the established procedure
Rigorously comply with the protocols and instructions of the self-control system (HACCP) and current legislation regarding hygiene and work practices.
Organize and make good use of the materials, tools, and equipment necessary for daily work.
