We are looking for a CIVIL WORKS ENGINEER for a long-term project in the province of Lugo. As part of the works team, the selected candidate will be responsible for supervising and controlling civil works associated with hydraulic and containment infrastructure, ensuring technical, safety, quality, and environmental compliance throughout the entire project execution.
Supervision of the execution of civil works, ensuring their correct implementation in accordance with drawings, technical specifications, and current regulations.
Coordination and monitoring of work carried out by contractors and subcontractors on site.
Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards in the work area.
Preparation of daily progress reports, identifying potential deviations, incidents, or delays.
Control and recording of the use of materials, machinery, and equipment, optimizing costs and avoiding overconsumption.
Ensuring compliance with quality requirements and project deadlines.
Coordination of inspections, tests, and quality checks during the different execution phases.
Supervision of compliance with environmental regulations applicable to material handling and waste management.
Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations on site.
Preparation of progress reports, quality control, and project monitoring.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction sector, preferably in projects involving reservoir enlargement, dams, reservoirs, earthworks, waterproofing, and retaining structures.
Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations applicable to hydraulic works and similar infrastructure.
Proficiency in project planning and management tools such as MS Project, AutoCAD, or similar software.
Leadership skills, team coordination, and decision-making abilities in a site environment.
Ability to work under pressure and resolve technical issues.
Strong communication and coordination skills with the various project stakeholders.
