The insurance sector plays a key role in protecting people, businesses, and economic activities. In this environment, the Underwriting function is strategic to ensure sustainable and profitable growth. This position will allow you to develop a technical-commercial vision of the business, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute directly to risk assessment, the definition of solutions, and portfolio optimization, driving the company's objectives forward.
What you'll do
You will be part of the Underwriting team, contributing to the decision-making that enables the sustainable growth of the insurance business. Your mission will be to analyze and underwrite the risks within your scope, applying the established regulations and technical criteria, with a focus on profitability, portfolio quality, and the right balance between commercial opportunity and technical rigor.
• Analyze and quote risks received within the established technical authorization levels.
• Follow up on quotes together with the business team, contributing to improving the conversion of opportunities into new contracts.
• Advise distributors and commercial teams on risk underwriting and assessment.
• Review and proactively manage the assigned portfolio, providing a technical-commercial perspective focused on the profitability and sustainability of the business.
• Ensure the proper development of processes for underwriting and policy issuance within their scope of responsibility.
