What we're looking for

  • 8+ years or more of experience in IT
  • In-depth knowledge of IS / IT best practices and data technologies
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms and services, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Good understanding of security principles and compliance rules
  • Strategic thinking & planning, systemic / big picture approach
  • Functional and technical expertise in engineering systems design and analysis
  • Good knowledge of agile and DevOps practices
  • Detailed knowledge of the following:
    • Application Integration patterns, events based, Change Data Capture, Microservices
    • Containers and related technologies - Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus
    • Architectural design and implementation of multiple applications/products.
    • REST APIs
    • System / Data modelling
    • Programming languages Java or.net (ability to oversee development activities to ensure adherence to standards)
    • Continuous integration / Continuous deployment / DevOps methodologies
    • Data Centre migration, re-location or consolidation projects.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to actively communicate with all levels of staff
  • Capacity to adapt quickly to changes and learn in all circumstances
  • Disciplined in the execution and ability to synthesize

Languages

  • Fluent English. Spanish or French are a plus

The role

As Solution Architect for AXA Partners on the CLP area (Credit & Lifestyle Protection business), you will define and drive the architecture on this domain, with the objective to create agile, simple, reliable and cost-effective solutions, to foster innovation, and to reduce the technical debt.

You will have a key contribution in the AXA Partners/CLP transformation program to modernize the application landscape and deliver more value to the business.

You will have the opportunity to on-board new applications to CLP IT and to progress our Agile/DevOps mission, working with agile teams in multiple locations worldwide.

What you'll do

In order to acheive this, you will:

  • Align product roadmaps to the business strategy and global technology vision
  • Optimize product scope to favour teams' agility
  • Provide advice, guidance, input and support to squads to realise the architecture
  • Provide architectural designs to make CLP applications cloud native, scalable, resilient and agile
  • Support architecture governance and compliance to standards and guidelines
  • Work in a close collaboration with the IT community and be a key partner for the CLP business unit.
  • Be part of an international team composed of around 10 architects supporting the different AXA Partners business units and countries.
  • Produce high level and detailed architectural diagrams and detailed software design documents relating to the supported domains
  • Produce technology roadmaps based on business knowledge and strategy
  • Design solutions to deliver applications that are cloud native, scalable, resilient and agile.
  • Design solutions to integrate group services
  • Build proof of concepts as part of the design process
  • Provide technical awareness
  • Identify process improvement opportunities across the business and devise IT solutions to support/capitalise on these opportunities
  • Continue to develop knowledge, skills and abilities with technological and business trends as well as current and future technologies in relation to AXA technology roadmaps
  • Work with wider AXA Partners groups and Architecture team
  • Deliver measurable, quality solutions to functional & non-functional requirements.
  • Add value in all stages of project/support work (definition, development, deployment).
  • Put the customer at the heart of everything you do.
