What are we looking for?

At Babel we are looking for a professional specialized in observability and monitoring of technological platforms, with experience in the implementation, administration, and evolution of solutions based on Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana). The person will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating observability platforms that allow for the monitoring of applications, infrastructures, and critical services, ensuring availability, performance, and early detection of incidents.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement observability solutions on Elastic.
• Configure and administer Elasticsearch, including indices, data streams, ILM, snapshots, and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain ingestion pipelines using Logstash.
• Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports.
• Implement monitoring strategies for applications (APM), infrastructure, and user experience.
• Define and manage alerts, thresholds, and operational dashboards.
• Analyze events, metrics, logs, and traces for proactive problem identification.
• Participate in troubleshooting processes and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Automate deployments and configurations using Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and cybersecurity teams to improve service observability.

Technical Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience with:
o Elasticsearch
o Logstash
• Solid knowledge of:
o Observability (Logs, Metrics, and Traces)
o Application and infrastructure monitoring
o Alert and event management
• Administration of Linux environments.
• Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS).
• Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
