Requirements

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Social Work.
MANDATORY Homologation by the Ministry of Education, in the case of foreign qualifications
Be registered with the corresponding Official College of Social Work and up to date with professional association fees.

Nice to have

Desirable at least one year of previous experience in the geriatric field and knowledge about the user profile of residences.
Experience or specific training in the Dependency Law and management of social resources is valued.

The role

Because social well-being, companionship, and support for families are also part of the quality care we offer, we are looking to incorporate a Social Worker into our Ballesol Castellón center.

What you'll do

Plan and organize the center's social work through proper goal setting and work streamlining under the supervision of the center's management, and contribute to improving the integration, participation, and social care of our residents, promoting their emotional well-being and strengthening their ties with their environment.

Assess the social, family, and economic situation of each resident at the time of admission.
Prepare and update the social, economic, and family history.
Coordinate and maintain communication with family members and legal guardians.
Facilitate the older person's adaptation to the center.
Manage social resources and benefits (dependency, pensions, allowances, etc.).
Mediate in conflict situations between residents, families, and the center.
Coordinate interdisciplinary work with the rest of the professionals.
Plan and organize community participation activities.
