Computer Engineer - Software Engineer (linq)

At LINQ we are looking for a Computer Engineer or Software Engineer to develop and deploy the software that controls our artificial vision inspection machines.

We are thinking of someone with experience in developing and deploying Deep Learning applications in real industrial environments and with solid knowledge of Python programming.

Your mission will be to develop the software embedded in our artificial vision machines, which consists of the following:

· Real-time processing of acquired images

· Inference through AI models on those images

· Automatic decision-making

· Machine learning system based on Machine Learning / Deep Learning

· Storage in a SQL database

· Generation of inspection results on the HMI

Within the engineering team, your job will be to ensure that the software is robust, documented, repeatable, and ready to operate under real production conditions.

· You will program the backend, mainly in Python.

· You will develop APIs, preferably with FastAPI, to connect internal services and modules.

· You will generate HMIs using web technologies, mainly TypeScript and React.

· You will establish communication systems between PLCs and the backend.

· You will work with SQL databases to record, query, and exploit inspection data.

· You will participate in the deployment of products with Machine Learning / Deep Learning components in industrial environments.

· You will generate robust, documented, traceable, and testable code.

· You will be in charge of the integration, validation, and commissioning of our machines, including international projects with occasional travel.

We are looking for someone who meets the following requirements:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

· At least 3 years of experience in backend programming in Python related to Deep Learning / Machine Learning technology.

· Knowledge of frontend development, preferably with JavaScript frameworks such as React.

· Experience in API programming, especially FastAPI.

· Proficiency with SQL databases.

· Ability to generate robust, documented, traceable, and testable code.

· High level of English, essential for an international industrial environment.

· Ability to communicate fluently with internal teams and, occasionally, with clients.

· Availability to travel for occasional stays of 2-3 weeks abroad.

We will also value if you have experience, either professional or academic, in any of the following areas:

· DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

· Development of products that include Machine Learning / Deep Learning components.

· Development of AI models, preferably in artificial vision.

· Software testing environments.

· A second language, especially French or German.

At LINQ we help industrial corporations optimize the quality control of metal parts with our turnkey non-destructive inspection equipment.

Up to now, this has meant validating mechanical properties - such as the result of a heat treatment - using electromagnetic technology, replacing destructive testing that forces parts to be removed from the line, cut, and analyzed. En LINQ buscamos un/a Ingeniero/a Informático/a o Ingeniero/a de Software para desarrollar y desplegar el software que gobierna nuestras máquinas de inspección por visión artificial.

Pensamos en una persona con experiencia en el desarrollo y despliegue de aplicaciones de Deep Learning en entornos industriales reales y con sólidos conocimientos de programación en Python.

Tu misión será desarrollar el software que irá embarcado en nuestras máquinas de visión artificial, que consiste en lo siguiente:

· Procesamiento en tiempo real de imágenes adquiridas

· Inferencia a través de modelos IA de esas imágenes

· Toma de decisiones automática

Dentro del equipo de ingeniería, tu trabajo consistirá en asegurar que el software sea sólido, documentado, repetible y preparado para funcionar en condiciones reales de producción.

· Programarás el backend, principalmente Python.

· Desarrollarás APIs, preferiblemente con FastAPI, para comunicar servicios y módulos internos.

· Generarás HMIs utilizando tecnologías web, principalmente TypeScript y React.

· Establecerás sistemas de comunicación entre PLC y backend.

· Trabajarás con bases de datos SQL para registrar, consultar y explotar información de inspección.

· Participarás en el despliegue de productos con componentes de Machine Learning / Deep Learning en entornos industriales.

Pensamos en una persona que cumpla con lo siguiente:

· Grado o Máster en Ingeniería Informática, Ciencias de la Computación o similar.

· Al menos 3 años de experiencia en programación backend en Python relacionado con tecnología Deep Learning / Machine Learning.

· Conocimientos de desarrollo frontend, preferiblemente con frameworks de JavaScript como React.

· Experiencia en programación de APIs, especialmente FastAPI.

· Manejo de bases de datos SQL.

· Capacidad para generar código documentado, robusto, trazable y testeable.

· Nivel alto de inglés, imprescindible para un entorno industrial internacional.

· Habilidad para comunicarte con soltura con equipo interno y, en ocasiones, con cliente.

· Disponibilidad para viajar en estancias puntuales de 2-3 semanas en el extranjero.

También valoraremos que tengas experiencia, laboral o académica, en alguno de estos aspectos:

· Prácticas DevOps y pipelines de CI/CD.

· Desarrollo de productos que contienen componentes de Machine Learning / Deep Learning.

· Desarrollo de modelos de IA, preferiblemente en visión artificial.

· Entornos de testeo de software.

· Un segundo idioma, especialmente francés o alemán.

· Sin depender de operarios dedicados a la inspección
