What we're looking for

We are looking for a Global Customer & Digital Assets Compliance Specialist with a pragmatic vision of the financial business, analytical capacity to transform regulation into applicable control frameworks, and excellent interpersonal skills (communication, dialogue, and teamwork) to work in a global, collaborative, and multicultural environment.

You must have a degree in Business Administration, Law, Economics, or related fields, as well as relevant experience in the financial sector (Legal Services, Business, Compliance, Audit, Risk, or Internal Control). Likewise, it is necessary to provide analytical capacity and a pragmatic vision to understand the regulatory environment and evaluate its implications for products and business models from a client protection perspective.

We are looking for a person with training in Business Administration, Law, Economics, or other related degrees and relevant experience of 3 to 5 years in the financial sector, acquired in areas of Legal Services, Business, Compliance, Audit, Risk, Internal Control, or other related functions.

The following will be especially valued:

  • Knowledge of financial products, services, processes, and business models and the ability to analyze their implications from a risk and client protection perspective.
  • Solid knowledge of the regulatory framework for client protection and conduct rules, preferably in one or several areas of banking products, investment services, or insurance.
  • Knowledge or experience in matters such as MiFID or equivalents, product governance, transparency, suitability and appropriateness, conflicts of interest, incentives, complaints, Consumer Protection, or banking conduct regulations.
  • Ability to interpret regulation, supervisory criteria, and market practices and convert them into principles, frameworks of action, and clear recommendations for practical application.
  • Analytical capacity and judgment to identify client protection risks beyond mere formal compliance with the rule.
  • Ability to work autonomously, structure complex problems, and lead or coordinate workstreams with multiple interlocutors.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capacity for synthesis, and ease in explaining complex regulatory issues in a clear and pragmatic manner.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team, generate relationships of trust, and exercise constructive challenge.
  • Ability to work in a global and multicultural environment, with the capacity to relate effectively with Compliance units in different geographies and understand different regulatory and business realities.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic attitude oriented toward finding solutions, combining technical rigor with a good capacity for dialogue with the different units of the Group.
  • Curiosity about the evolution of regulation, business models, and new technologies and their impact on client protection.
  • High level of English (C1), both spoken and written.

Customer & Digital Assets Compliance is part of Global Compliance (second line of defense) and is responsible for defining the global strategy and frameworks to manage client conduct risks across the Group, ensuring relationships based on transparency, suitability, fair treatment, and non-discrimination, in line with the RCP (Radical Client Perspective) approach. Its responsibilities also include the identification and analysis of new regulation, industry best practices, risk management, development and maintenance of Internal Regulation, and business support.

Your mission will be to participate actively in the construction and deployment of a solid corporate standard for client protection within the Group.

What you'll do

Specifically, you will participate mainly in the following tasks:

  • Analyze regulatory, supervisory, and market developments regarding client protection, assessing their impact on the Group's activities, products, and services and translating them into specific criteria and frameworks of action.
  • Participate in the definition, review, and evolution of the global Internal Regulation of Customer Compliance, including policies, standards, frameworks, procedures, and criteria related to client conduct and product governance.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the Corporate Client Conduct and Product Governance Program, ensuring its adequacy to the evolution of risks, regulation, and the Group's strategic priorities.
  • Develop criteria and frameworks in areas such as transparency and client information, suitability of products and services, product governance, conflicts of interest, sales force incentivization, complaints, fees and commissions, training and certifications, custody, client profiling, accessibility and non-discrimination, and responsible lending, among other client protection matters.
  • Participate in strategic projects aimed at establishing global corporate standards, seeking the proper balance between Group-level consistency and adaptation to the regulatory and business particularities of each jurisdiction.
  • Specially support the development of the main workstreams of Customer & Digital Compliance, including the evolution of the corporate frameworks for complaints, certifications, product governance, transparency, custody, and profiling, as well as the review of the discipline's own theoretical risk framework.
  • Analyze client protection risks derived from new products, channels, distribution models, and new technologies, including digital commercialization, artificial intelligence, digital assets, and the provision of services through third parties.
  • Participate in the evaluation and evolution of the Customer Compliance risk and control framework, contributing to identifying new sources of risk, reviewing existing taxonomy, and developing criteria that facilitate a homogeneous evaluation and challenge across different geographies.
  • Support local Customer Compliance units in the interpretation and application of global standards, resolving queries, sharing criteria, and facilitating their effective implementation in different jurisdictions.
  • Maintain recurring dialogue with geographies, promoting the exchange of best practices and contributing to identifying regulatory differences, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in monitoring the implementation of global frameworks, including the analysis of indicators, Risk Assessments, independent reviews, weaknesses, and action plans, contributing to obtaining a transversal view of the client conduct risk situation in the Group.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of documentation, presentations, and reports aimed at Senior Management, governing bodies, supervisors, or other relevant stakeholders.
