Market Services is the unit within BBVA which is charged with providing access to market infrastructure for our clients. We currently operate out of Madrid, London and Mexico providing access to OTC Clearing and Futures and Options execution and clearing. The business has grown strongly over the last few years and consequently we are currently establishing an office in New York (subject to regulatory approval). Evidencing our ambition, BBVA recently announced the purchase (subject to regulatory approval) of the 50% of Altura Markets in Spain that it does not currently own. Altura Markets is the leading broker for listed futures and options in Spain and Portugal.
What you'll do
- Drive the existing Market Services product-development roadmap and coordinate implementation of new initiatives.
- Coordinate client interaction with Market Services on complex queries, issues and opportunities, bringing together the appropriate internal expertise.
- Identify product and market opportunities arising from client needs, market structure, regulation and technological developments.
- Maintain extensive relationships with exchanges, CCPs and other market infrastructure providers to understand developments and new capabilities.
- Work closely with Market Services Sales and clients to understand requirements, present new capabilities and identify opportunities.
- Coordinate product initiatives across Operations, Technology, Risk, Legal, Compliance and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support the development of business cases and the launch and commercialisation of new products.
