We are looking for an Electrical and Instrumentation Project Engineer to join our team in Tarragona for a long-term stable position. The selected candidate will provide support on industrial projects in a chemical environment, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, safety standards, and established deadlines, as well as managing technical documentation, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and monitoring project execution.

• Preparation and review of technical documentation, specifications, and procurement support.
• Technical validation of projects and evaluation of bids.
• Support in MOC, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordination with Production, Maintenance, and other technical departments.
• Cost monitoring, planning, and reporting of the engineering scope.
• Preparation of cost estimates and project planning.
• Preparation of documentation for internal project approval.
• Execution of engineering for projects according to applicable specifications and regulations, including design, calculations, E&I drawings, and Technical Specifications for scheduling.
• Managing documents for facility legalization.
• Supplier management and support in procurement processes.
• Preparation/Update of Engineering Specifications.
• Preparation of technical specifications for request-for-quotation processes (Installations, Instruments, etc.).
• Development and maintenance of documentation.
• Participation in Management of Change (MOC) analyses, Safety Studies (HAZOP, etc.), and review of facilities prior to Commissioning (PSSR).
• Monitoring of planning and execution of Capex and Opex projects.
• Control of safety, quality, costs, and schedules.
• Ensuring compliance with legal inspections before start-up.
• Supervision, coordination, and technical assistance during installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Requesting Work Permits for the execution of investments.
• Management of punch lists and project closeout.
• Participation in acceptance testing and staff training.
• Preparation of project status reports.
• Coordination with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Continuous communication with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager.

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic).
• More than 5 years of experience.
• Experience in chemical/petrochemical environments and plants.
• Knowledge of DCS/PLC (preferably Siemens PCS7).
• Knowledge of ATEX regulations.
• High level of English (C1).
• AutoCAD.
• MS Project.
