We are looking for a Railway Depot and Workshop Engineer to expand one of our teams in [city].

As a Railway Depot and Workshop Engineer, your main responsibilities will include, among others:

• Supporting the functional and technical design of depots, workshops, stabling yards, and maintenance workshops for metros, trams, commuter trains, high speed, and freight rail.
• Preparing and reviewing functional layout deliverables for the depot-workshop: stabling tracks, inspection tracks, wheel-lathe, train wash, sandblasting, blowing, painting, heavy maintenance, bogie workshop, and component workshop.
• Defining the operational flows of the depot: train movements, shunting logic, capacity analysis, dwell times, and depot occupancy diagrams, in coordination with the O&M team.
• Supporting the dimensioning of the depot-workshop based on the rolling stock fleet, the maintenance regime (IS1 to IS5 levels / type A to F inspections), headway, and availability objectives.
• Coordinating the civil implementation of the depot-workshop including track, buildings (workshop, administration, PCC, staff services), roads, drainage, perimeter fencing, and access control.
• Coordinating depot-workshop systems and equipment: overhead cranes, jacks, wheel-lathe, bogie drop tables, washing plants, sandblasting, CET (Controlled Emission Toilet) system, compressed air, HVAC, fire protection, and workshop tooling.
• Supporting the design of interfaces between the depot-workshop and line systems: catenary (OCS/OHE) or third rail, traction return, signaling (depot interlocking, ATP/ATO transition, shunting signals), telecommunications, SCADA, and Depot Control System (DCS).
• Preparing technical specifications, bills of quantities (BOQ / APU), data sheets, and tender packages for the depot-workshop scopes, in both civil works/architecture and E&M and systems.
• Supporting site supervision, testing, commissioning, and handover (T&C and handover) of the depot facilities, including punch-list management and operational readiness.
• Coordinating with the RAMS, security, fire and life safety (FLS), physical security, and sustainability teams to ensure an integrated design of the depot-workshop.
• Reviewing contractor deliverables, RFIs, and change requests within the depot-workshop scope.
• Contributing to the preparation of technical bids, drafting proposals, and capturing lessons learned from the depots and workshops discipline.
