The role

Based in Madrid, the intern will support both local (Iberia) and pan-European activity, with exposure to both bond (DCM) and loan (LCM / acquisition finance) markets. The role spans the full transaction lifecycle - origination, credit process and execution - as well as broader support for the team's operational needs.

What you'll do

  • Research, analyse and evaluate new credit proposals, producing clear summaries to support decision-making
  • Prepare credit committee papers and support the management of the credit and compliance workflow
  • Develop and update financial analysis and modelling for transactions and other business needs
  • Support DCM execution workstreams, including bond issuance timetables, roadshow materials and market update
  • Assist in monitoring primary bond market activity, pricing and comparable transactions to support origination and execution
  • Prepare marketing materials and pitches in cooperation with teams across the bank (Coverage, M&A, ECM, Syndicate), ensuring high quality and reliability
  • Support internal reporting and day-to-day administrative tasks

IT:

  • IT literacy in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
