What we're looking for
We are looking for a resourceful, versatile person with a practical mindset; someone who enjoys executing and understands how content works on social media. You might be the perfect person for this position if:
You have the soul of a Video Editor with a solid post-production base and knowledge of motion graphics.
You master editing tools such as Premiere or Final Cut.
You have a clearly social media-oriented approach (formats, trends, digital narrative...).
You have solid experience in video editing and digital content, ideally working for different brands or clients simultaneously and adapting to different visual universes, tones, and needs. We will especially value experience in an agency, studio, digital production company, or similar environments.
You understand and enjoy the agency dynamic: working with deadlines, revisions, changing priorities, constant coordination, and iterative feedback until the best solution is found.
You don't just limit yourself to executing: you look for references, propose resources, question how to improve a piece, and provide audiovisual alternatives that help elevate the initial idea.
You have aesthetic judgment and a sensitivity to detail.
Absolute passion for trends and digital culture.
You feel comfortable recording agile content with a mobile phone when necessary and understand how to maintain a good visual standard in mobile-first contexts.
It will be viewed very positively if, additionally, you have extra experience in recording and knowledge of camera and lighting to provide occasional support in social media productions.
You have a clearly social media-oriented portfolio, where we can see editing rhythm, digital narrative, knowledge of formats, and a variety of brands/projects.
It is ideal if you speak English and Catalan.
You always seek excellence and have a high quality standard; you care about detail and push ideas to take them one step further.
You work with ownership and autonomy, taking responsibility for projects from start to finish and acting as if they were your own.
You have the mental agility to handle changes, unforeseen events, or new challenges and quickly find the best way to move forward.
You move with rhythm and dynamism, knowing how to prioritize, execute with speed, and organize yourself in a way that also facilitates the work of the rest of the team.
You enjoy working in a collaborative way, sharing judgment, giving feedback, and helping collective work grow.
You have curiosity and proactivity as standard and you like to question the established, you look for new references, explore trends, and provide value beyond what is strictly your responsibility.
You are an ambitious person who seeks to elevate the impact of work, detect opportunities, and continue growing professionally.
You possess optimism and enthusiasm as part of your nature and approach challenges with a constructive and solution-oriented attitude.
You have an updated cultural perspective and a constant curiosity to understand what is happening outside your own discipline.
The role
At Candee, we are managing this Video Editor position for Hamlet.
Your main mission will be to edit and assemble audiovisual content for Hamlet's various clients, transforming ideas, recorded materials, and creative references into agile, attractive, and social media-native pieces.
You will work transversally for different clients. You will receive ideas, references, and materials from the team and will have the autonomy to transform them into final pieces, seeking additional resources when necessary.
Editing and post-production will be the core of your day-to-day. Additionally, if you are good at handling a camera, you will also be able to occasionally participate in recordings and provide audiovisual insight from earlier stages of the process.
What you'll do
Edit and assemble video pieces for social networks, adapting rhythm, narrative, duration, format, and visual resources to the codes of each platform.
Work with very different materials: from already recorded content that needs editing and assembly to pieces built from resources, images, motion, or external references.
Incorporate motion graphics and simple graphic resources when the piece requires it to elevate its quality and make it more dynamic.
Search for references, audiovisual resources, music, footage, or supporting materials that help build and enrich the pieces.
Translate ideas and concepts into native social audiovisual language, incorporating trends, references, platform codes, and new editing styles when they make sense for the brand.
Collaborate with strategy, creativity, and the rest of the social media team to bring video ideas to life, providing references, proposing editing solutions, and helping to define how to translate each concept into audiovisual language.
Ensure the visual coherence of each brand by strictly following creative guidelines.
Optimize production times while maintaining a high standard of quality.
If you handle it well and when the project requires it, provide occasional support in recording content for social, especially in agile and mobile-first formats, accompanying the team in small productions and providing basic camera, framing, and lighting insight.
