Requirements

What we're looking for

We are looking for a person with judgment, ownership, and a high level of responsibility, capable of combining a global vision and area coordination with very direct involvement in execution. Someone who feels comfortable making decisions and organizing the team, but also opening an Excel sheet, getting into the detail of the numbers, and personally checking that everything balances.

We need a rigorous and reliable person who has control over important matters, raises their hand when a risk exists, and meets deadlines.

You could be the perfect person for the position if you have:

  • University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Organizational Management, or similar fields.

  • At least 4 years of experience in economic, administrative, or management responsibility functions in organizations of similar complexity.

  • Sufficiently solid experience with grants or public funding to understand not only the justification of a specific call but also how different funding sources impact and are articulated within an organization's global budget.

  • Advanced mastery of Excel/spreadsheets and economic and administrative management tools.

  • Ability to lead and coordinate people, organize priorities, and follow up.

  • That you feel comfortable in a very hands-on position, working regularly with Excel and large volumes of economic information and reviewing budgets, amounts, and allocations with a high level of detail.

  • A lot of rigor and attention to detail without losing agility: we are looking for someone meticulous with numbers, capable of detecting errors and ensuring everything balances, but also able to prioritize and move work forward.

  • Autonomy, judgment, and responsibility to make decisions within your scope and keep Management correctly informed.

Nice to have

It will be especially valuable if you have worked in the third sector or in organizations with a significant weight of public funding, as well as experience in auditing, internal control, risk management, or knowledge of the third sector labor framework.

Pay & benefits

What you'll get

  • Full-time schedule of 35 hours per week; with a flexible intensive schedule based on 4 days in the morning and one day in the afternoon.

  • Hybrid model with 2 days of teleworking per week.

  • 25 working days of vacation, to which 5 additional personal days are added.

  • Flexible hours and a culture oriented towards responsibility and the achievement of objectives.

  • Annual gross salary of €32,808.79

  • Indefinite contract.

The role

At Candee, we are managing this position of Economic Management and Administration Manager for the Catalan Commission for Refugee Action (CCAR).

Your main mission will be to ensure solid, reliable, and sustainable economic, financial, and administrative management of CCAR, providing Management with the information and criteria necessary to make good decisions.

You will have a global vision of the area and responsibility for its coordination, but it will also be a very hands-on position. A very relevant part of your day-to-day will be linked to execution and technical review: working with Excel, reviewing data and amounts, controlling budgets and allocations, and ensuring that all economic information balances down to the last detail.

We are looking, therefore, for someone who enjoys both understanding the entity's global economic map and getting into the detail of the numbers to ensure that everything is correctly managed.

What you'll do

  • You will lead economic and budgetary planning, preparing the annual budget and performing its monitoring.

  • In addition to leadership, an important part of your day-to-day will be technical and detailed work with Excel: entering and reviewing data, checking amounts, analyzing budgets and allocations, and detecting possible errors or deviations.

  • You will supervise budgetary control, treasury, analytical accounting, and economic monitoring, coordinating with the management agency and other providers in the area and ensuring the correct accounting record and compliance with the economic, fiscal, and financial obligations of the entity.

  • You will lead economic closings, annual accounts, and audit processes, guaranteeing the traceability and reliability of financial information.

  • You will prepare economic and financial reporting for Management, providing an analysis that helps anticipate deviations and make decisions.

  • You will have an especially important role in the economic and administrative planning and management of CCAR's different funding sources, including grants, agreements, tenders, contracts, and other funding avenues.

  • You will lead and coordinate the economic and administrative justification processes before funding bodies, ensuring compliance with their contractual, administrative, and documentary requirements.

  • You will coordinate the administrative team, helping to organize responsibilities, workloads, procedures, and internal circuits.

  • In a more transversal way, you will participate in the diversification of funding sources and the economic sustainability of CCAR, exploring avenues such as private funding, social base, or strategic alliances.

How you'll work

Modality: Hybrid
Location: Barcelona
Occupational level: Manager

Hiring process

  1. Apply for the vacancy.

  2. Structured interview: If you meet the requirements, your Talent Partner will contact you so you can resolve doubts about the position and begin to get to know you beyond your CV.

  3. Interview with CCAR: If both parties consider there is a fit, we will schedule an in-person interview with CCAR so you can meet and confirm the opportunity for both sides.

Throughout the process, you will have direct contact with your Talent Agent to resolve any doubts or concerns.

In their own words

About the company & team

The Catalan Commission for Refugee Action (CCAR) is a social entity that works to defend the right to asylum and the rights of refugees and migrants, accompanying their social inclusion processes in Catalonia.

Its work also seeks to make visible situations of persecution, forced displacement, and human rights violations, as well as to promote public policies and social responses based on human rights.

According to what the CCAR team has told us, the best part of working here is:

  • 🫂 A purpose with real impact: your work will contribute directly to ensuring that an organization dedicated to defending the rights of refugees and migrants can continue developing its activity sustainably.

  • 🫂 A way of working based on trust and care: at CCAR, they understand flexibility through responsibility and, based on this responsibility and the guarantee of meeting all deadlines, there is space to organize yourself, balance your life, and adapt your working day whenever you need to.

  • 🫂 A key role within the organization: you will have direct interaction with Management and a transversal vision of the entity. This will not be just another support position, but a reference figure to understand the economic map, anticipate risks, and facilitate decision-making.

You will report to Management and will be part of CCAR's coordination spaces, for which you will have global visibility over the organization and will participate in key conversations for its functioning and sustainability.

You will lead and coordinate the team linked to the administrative and economic management of projects, currently composed of 5 people, and you will also work with external support in areas such as accounting, labor management, or certain administrative tasks linked to projects and grants.
