The Agile Delivery Center Spain @ Capgemini is a specialized center located in Murcia and Valencia, focused on delivering innovative software solutions using agile methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe.

We are looking for Software Engineers with at least 2 years of experience in software development projects, with fluent French, who are very passionate about technology and interested in being part of a high-tech talent ecosystem, in a multicultural environment, and in an active, dynamic and open culture.

As a Software Engineer you will play a crucial role in the design, development, maintenance and optimization of Java-based applications. You will work in a multidisciplinary and international environment with cutting-edge technologies, in agile environments, and you will contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.

In our teams, a Software Engineer applies scientific methods to analyze and solve software engineering problems. They are responsible for researching and acquiring knowledge in their technical discipline. They collaborate and act as a team member alongside other software engineers and stakeholders.

The Software Engineer develops skills and expertise in their discipline to meet the standard expectations defined for the applicable role, according to our internal Professional Communities.

If you are a Senior Software Engineer you will also be able to take on a leadership role in your team on technical matters and collaborate on defining and improving software architecture and design patterns.

What you'll do

  • Software development and maintenance: Create and maintain high-quality software applications using Java and related technologies. Participate in the development of complex features. Knowledge of the development lifecycle.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers and other engineers, to deliver robust software solutions.
  • Code review: Perform thorough code reviews to ensure quality, performance and security. Promote best practices and development processes.
  • Continuous improvement: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve software engineering practices. Propose improvements in application development. 
  • Technical leadership: (for experienced profiles) Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring best practices in coding and design. Help the team identify the backlog in a project. Participate in the technical impact study that leads to budget preparation.

What we're looking for

You have more than 2 years of relevant work experience. You have knowledge of concepts related to programming, software design and software development principles.

Java proficiency: Extensive experience with Java 8-17 (streams, interfaces...), Spring frameworks and experience working with Microservices Architecture.
Software development lifecycle: knowledge of the software development lifecycle and methodologies such as Scrum.
Database management: Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including SQL and NoSQL.
Testing: Experience in unit testing, integration testing and debugging using tools such as JUnit and Mockito.
Version control: Experience with version control systems such as Git, GitLab, GitHub.
Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.
Fluent French to communicate with teams and clients (profiles with fluent English may also be considered)
Problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
