What will your role be?

As part of our team in the Inspection area of the San Roque Energy Park (PESR), you will take on the responsibility of carrying out, coordinating, and controlling the full set of technical inspections and corrosion control of the Plant's static equipment and new installations.

Your main purpose will be to increase the safety and reliability of the installations and the quality of the work, ensuring at all times respect for the environment and the mitigation of potential incident risks.

What you'll do

  • Technical Inspections: Carry out, coordinate, and control the full set of technical inspections of the Plant's static equipment and new installations, reporting on their condition and recommending repairs or replacements.

  • Annual Program and Contracting: Prepare the Plant's Annual Inspection Program (equipment to inspect/repair and regulatory tests). Contract and manage external inspection services, setting scope, deadline, and quality.

  • Follow-up on Recommendations: Control the effective execution of inspections and recommendations from the Annual Program and Inspection Reports, updating follow-up indicators.

  • Data and Systems Management: Record inspection results, minimum thickness calculations, remaining life, etc., in management systems, verifying their suitability.

  • Supervision and Testing (N.D.T.): Supervise and evaluate the results of N.D.T., the work of Inspection Assistants, and the services provided by external entities.

  • Damage Mechanism Analysis: Investigate and analyze deterioration mechanisms in equipment in service at PESR, issuing technical reports to prevent failures, establish conservation programs, or indicate equipment shutdowns.

  • RBI Strategy: Apply and manage the Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) strategy, updating data in the application and establishing future inspection programs.

  • Budget Control: Establish and control the Plant's annual inspection budget on a monthly basis, justifying deviations and applying corrective actions.

  • Technical Advisory: Advise Maintenance, Major Repairs, and Engineering, studying technical documentation and verifying regulatory compliance of the installations.

  • Legal and Official Inspections: Coordinate with the Administration and supervise legal inspections. Act as the Owner's Inspector in Official Inspections of equipment according to ITC EP-3.

  • Safety and Environment: Control and apply good practices, regulations, and HSE procedures to mitigate risks of incidents or accidents.

  • Technical Change Management: Participate in the Plant's technical changes, evaluating implications on deterioration, corrosion rates, and probability of failure.

  • Have previous experience in the Inspection area at Refinery and Petrochemical plants.

  • Have knowledge of processes, deterioration mechanisms, and materials specific to these industries.

  • Have an intermediate level of English.

  • Bring knowledge and experience in handling international codes and standards (ASME / API / ASTM / NACE).

  • Know the regulations and legislation in the field of pressure equipment and petroleum installations.

  • Hold certifications in non-destructive testing (ISO 9712 / ASNT SNT-TC-1A).

  • Are familiar with inspection platforms such as SIGRID and SAP.
