Requirements

What we're looking for

  • To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or similar.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer‑facing technical role (Helpdesk, Technical Support, Customer Success, Customer Service) or hands-on experience providing technical assistance for industrial/energy systems.
    • A proven track record of managing customer relationships and handling technical requests through ticketing tools (e.g., Zendesk, JIRA, ServiceNow).
    • Experience supporting SCADA, industrial automation or remote monitoring systems, preferably within the energy sector.
    • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs) and experience troubleshooting communication issues.
    • Experience diagnosing hardware and communication interfaces (Ethernet, RS485, converters, gateways).
    • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus (RTU/TCP), IEC‑104, OPC or similar.
    • Strong written and verbal skills in English and Spanish

Nice to have

And if you've got these in your back pocket, consider it a bonus:

  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies including Solar PV, Wind, BESS and hybrid power plants, with experience in SCADA commissioning, power plants controllers, and communication network setup.
  • Experience working with industrial automation and field devices, including dataloggers, PLCs, RTUs, PPCs, and remote data acquisition or cloud-based monitoring platforms.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and work within Linux environments, with basic scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, SQL, or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of industrial cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices related to communication and monitoring networks.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and single-line drawings, with basic experience using AutoCAD or similar engineering tools.
  • Strong technical communication skills, including the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, user guides, troubleshooting procedures and customer-facing technical reports.
  • Medium to advanced proficiency in Italian and Portuguese.

Additionally, your exceptional customer-facing abilities include effective communication, active listening, empathy, and the capacity to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
