Requirements

What we're looking for

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a conventional lathe operator.
Manual dexterity and precision.
Ability to solve technical problems.
Attention to detail and quality orientation.
Have your own vehicle.
Residence near the workplace is valued.

Education & certifications

Mandatory metal industry training C5.

Knowledge of machining and blueprint reading.

Knowledge of metrology.

Forklift license.

Languages

Fluent in Catalan and/or Spanish, both spoken and written.

The role

We are looking for a conventional lathe operator to join an important company in the metal sector located 15 minutes from Banyoles and 20 minutes from Olot. The tasks to be carried out are:

What you'll do

- Interpret technical drawings and specifications.

- Prepare and adjust the manual lathe and cutting tools.

- Clamp and center the parts to be machined.

- Perform operations such as: Turning, Facing, Coning, Threading, Boring, Parting, Drilling

- Control part dimensions using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometer, dial indicators, etc.).

- Verify the required quality and tolerances.

- Perform basic maintenance of the machine and tools.

- Comply with safety regulations and occupational risk prevention.

- Repair or modify existing parts according to production or maintenance needs.

- Among other tasks inherent to the job position.
