Cybersecurity Project Manager - API Security

At Excelia we are looking for a PMO / Cybersecurity Project Manager - API Security, with experience in the management and coordination of cybersecurity projects, to lead an API securing project for one of our clients in the banking sector.

We are looking for a senior profile with experience in Cybersecurity project management and API Security knowledge, who combines coordination and stakeholder management skills with knowledge of application security, risk identification, and the definition of remediation plans.

The selected person will be responsible for coordinating the different teams of the bank during the API discovery and inventory process, the assessment of their exposure and security level, as well as in the definition of the security baseline and the remediation roadmap.

📍 Work modality: Hybrid, with 1 or 2 days of on-site presence per week (Madrid, Las Tablas)

• Lead and coordinate the API securing project, monitoring the different phases and activities.

• Coordinate the process of discovery, identification, and inventory of APIs within the organization.

• Identify and analyze APIs exposed to the Internet, evaluating their level of exposure and the possible associated security risks.

• Coordinate security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, deviations, and opportunities for improvement.

• Participate in the definition of the security baseline for APIs, establishing security criteria and requirements.

• Coordinate the preparation and monitoring of the remediation roadmap, ensuring the correct execution of the identified actions.

• Manage and coordinate the different stakeholders and teams involved: Architecture, Development, Infrastructure, Security, and Business.

• Monitor planning, risks, dependencies, milestones, and project actions.

• Prepare monitoring reports and executive reporting on project progress, identified risks, and the status of initiatives.
