The role

Associate Partner, Management Consulting - Energy & Utilities, Iberia

Location: Madrid, Spain

Are you passionate about helping clients navigate the most critical challenges of the digital age? Do you have experience shaping and scaling high-impact, technology-enabled transformation? Are you a visionary builder who thrives in entrepreneurial environments?

If the answer is yes, we have an exciting opportunity for you to help architect the next chapter of Uvance Wayfinders, Fujitsu's global consulting brand, in Iberia.

Uvance Wayfinders is committed to guiding customers through business and management transformation, turning concepts into reality and delivering tangible results through our consulting approach. Working side by side with clients, we deliver integrated solutions that span the full lifecycle of change, from initial strategy to sustained impact. We are focussed on fostering an inclusive environment where diverse talent thrives.

In Iberia (Spain and Portugal), we are building the practice from the ground up, with Data & AI at its core and an initial focus on Banking & Insurance, Energy & Utilities and the Public Sector. We connect strategy, technology and execution end-to-end, from the first diagnosis through to production.

As Associate Partner for Energy & Utilities, you'll work closely with the Consulting Partner to build and grow the sector across Iberia, with Data & AI as the engine of transformation. Your challenge is to help energy companies and utilities turn AI into measurable results: running their networks and assets more efficiently, accelerating the energy transition, meeting growing regulatory demands and building the data foundations that make AI work at scale.

As a market-facing visionary, you'll be targeted to pursue new revenue and business development opportunities, whilst nurturing key client relationships, and leading collaborative, high-performing consulting teams. Your exceptional ability to build and maintain lasting, trusted relationships will empower clients to fulfil their business aspirations.

As a thought leader in your field, you'll influence the future of Uvance Wayfinders consulting, bringing fresh perspectives and creative, innovative solutions.

What you'll do

  • Driving the go-to-market strategy for Energy & Utilities in Iberia and leading business development efforts, including proactive proposals, RFPs and executive presentations, resulting in standalone consulting revenue growth.
  • Defining our Data & AI proposition for energy companies and utilities, from AI strategy and Agentic AI to data foundations, across networks, operations, the energy transition and customers.
  • Originating and scaling strategic transformation opportunities, from use-case portfolios and business cases to enterprise-wide programmes.
  • Identifying pull-through opportunities for technology solutions and services through consulting engagements and gained knowledge of clients' business challenges.
  • Shaping complex value cases and facilitating executive workshops that link AI and data investments to measurable business outcomes.
  • Leading deal shaping, pricing and commercial negotiations, and managing revenue, margin and delivery health across engagements.
  • Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities with energy companies and utilities across Iberia.
  • Creating eminence and thought leadership through provocative points of view on AI, the energy transition and critical infrastructure.
  • Setting the direction for complex, multi-disciplinary consulting engagements, identifying the right functional knowledge, technical expertise and proprietary tools required to deliver.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to the C-suite of energy companies and utilities, turning emerging technologies into pragmatic roadmaps and measurable value.
  • Leading Agentic AI and Generative AI programmes from opportunity and business case through architecture, implementation and adoption.
  • Applying AI to networks and operations: predictive maintenance, asset and network management, digital twins and field operations.
  • Building scalable data foundations: data strategy, data governance, operating models and modern architectures, including data for sustainability reporting.
  • Advising clients on how to deploy AI in line with sector regulation, including the EU AI Act requirements for critical infrastructure, NIS2 and sustainability reporting.
  • Collaborating with the wider Uvance Wayfinders network and technology partners to bring the right capabilities and solutions to each client challenge.
  • Providing senior technical oversight across multiple AI and data engagements.
  • Validating architectural approaches spanning data platforms, machine learning, large language models, AI agents and orchestration layers.
  • Ensuring AI solutions are production-grade, scalable, secure and aligned with enterprise standards, with strong engineering discipline and MLOps practices.
  • Guiding teams on trade-offs between rules-based systems, machine learning, LLMs and hybrid approaches.
  • Acting as the senior escalation point for complex technical, architectural or Responsible AI decisions.
  • Building and sustaining long-term client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Collaborating with the Consulting Partner to shape the Energy & Utilities offering, including methodologies, accelerators and thought leadership.
  • Building a high-performing Energy & Utilities team, providing direction, mentorship and quality assurance over team performance and deliverables.
  • Working with Uvance Wayfinders partners across Europe and with the teams already present in client accounts.
