The role

Manager / Senior Manager, Management Consulting - AI for Operations, Iberia

Location: Madrid, Spain

Are you passionate about helping clients navigate the most critical challenges of the digital age? Do you have experience shaping and scaling high-impact, technology-enabled transformation? Are you a visionary builder who thrives in entrepreneurial environments?

If the answer is yes, we have an exciting opportunity for you to help architect the next chapter of Uvance Wayfinders, Fujitsu's global consulting brand, in Europe.

Uvance Wayfinders is committed to guiding customers through business and management transformation, turning concepts into reality and delivering tangible results through our consulting approach. Working side by side with clients, we deliver integrated solutions that span the full lifecycle of change, from initial strategy to sustained impact. We are focussed on fostering an inclusive environment where diverse talent thrives.

In Iberia (Spain and Portugal), we are building the practice from the ground up, with Data & AI at its core and an initial focus on Banking & Insurance, Energy & Utilities and the Public Sector. We connect strategy, technology and execution end-to-end, from the first diagnosis through to production.

What you'll do

As Manager / Senior Manager for AI for Operations, you'll bring AI and agents into how clients run their operations and assets, from maintenance and field work to planning and service, and make sure the results show up in cost, quality and speed.

Reporting to a Director or Associate Partner (as appropriate), you'll combine deep hands-on expertise with client leadership: shaping solutions, supporting business development and leading delivery teams through to measurable results.

As an expert in your field, you'll help shape how Uvance Wayfinders delivers, bringing fresh perspectives and creating reusable assets for the practice.

Business development support

  • Shaping proposals, business cases and client presentations for AI in operations.
  • Supporting our Associate Partners and Directors in building relationships with client decision-makers.
  • Identifying new opportunities during delivery and turning them into proposals.

Client delivery & leadership

  • Leading AI programmes in operations: predictive maintenance, asset optimisation, digital twins and field operations.
  • Applying AI agents to operational processes such as maintenance planning, work order management and incident handling.
  • Defining the metrics, business cases and adoption plans that show the impact of AI in operations.
  • Making sure solutions meet applicable requirements, including the EU AI Act and NIS2 where relevant.
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams and managing day-to-day delivery with clients.
  • Owning the end-to-end solution architecture and engineering rigour of AI systems, ensuring they are designed, built, deployed and governed to run reliably in production.
  • Applying MLOps and LLMOps practices: evaluation, monitoring, drift detection and lifecycle management.
  • Guiding teams on trade-offs between rules-based systems, machine learning, LLMs and hybrid approaches.
  • Building value cases and facilitating workshops with client stakeholders to frame problems, align on priorities and shape engagement outcomes.
  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with client stakeholders, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.

Practice development

  • Contributing to the AI for Operations offering, including methodologies, accelerators, reusable assets and thought leadership.
  • Leading and coaching consultants, providing direction and quality assurance over team performance and deliverables.
  • Working with Uvance Wayfinders colleagues across Europe and with the teams already present in client accounts.
  • Helping build a culture of collaboration, continuous learning and hands-on excellence.

Your transferable skills and experience

  • Several years of experience delivering AI, analytics or digital transformation programmes in operations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of AI applied to assets and operations, such as predictive maintenance or optimisation.
  • Experience working with operational data from IoT, sensors or OT systems.
  • Experience leading teams and managing client relationships at senior level.
  • Hands-on understanding of modern data and AI architectures: cloud data platforms and pipelines, machine learning, LLM-based solutions (prompting, RAG, agents), orchestration and monitoring.
  • Experience taking AI systems into production and managing their operational risks: performance, drift, reliability and security.
  • Demonstrated ability to build value cases (complex value cases at Senior Manager level) and to facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders.
  • University degree in a technical or quantitative field preferred.
  • Fluent in Spanish and professional English; Portuguese is a plus.
