What we're looking for

  • Intermediate or Higher Level Technician in Industrial Mechanics, Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or similar.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in maintenance of rotating equipment (ideally centrifuges, pumps, compressors, decanters, or similar).
  • Experience in industrial workshops or mechanical maintenance.
  • Reading and interpretation of blueprints, tolerances, and technical manuals.
  • Handling of hand tools, torque, measurement, and lifting equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of lubrication, vibrations, and dynamic balancing.
  • Order and technical rigor.
  • Orientation toward quality and safety.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Teamwork and good communication skills.
  • Proactivity and customer focus.

Nice to have

  • Desirable experience in companies within the industrial processes, food, mining, dairy, beverages, or water treatment sectors.
  • Desirable: basic notions of electricity and control.

The role

The Service Technician - Workshop is responsible for executing maintenance, repair, diagnostic, and functional testing activities for industrial separation equipment (centrifuges, decanters, separators, and related technologies). Their work guarantees the availability, reliability, and quality of the equipment for internal and external customers, aligned with the company's technical and safety standards.

What you'll do

· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on separation equipment (centrifuges, separators, decanters, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.).

· Execute disassembly, inspection, measurements, component replacement, and equipment assembly according to manufacturer manuals.

· Diagnose basic mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical faults.

· Perform alignments, balancing, and fine adjustments of rotating equipment.

· Execute bench functional tests, verifying key parameters (vibrations, temperature, pressure, RPM, etc.).

· Prepare equipment for delivery to the customer, ensuring correct performance and compliance with standards.

· Prepare technical reports, service checklists, photographic records, and post-maintenance recommendations.

· Complete work orders in the internal system (ERP, SAP, or other).

· Ensure correct traceability of parts and spare parts used.

· Strictly comply with current safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

· Maintain order, cleanliness, and tool control in the workshop.

· Participate in internal and manufacturer technical training.

· Support field technicians when necessary.

· Collaborate with the spare parts area by identifying needs or critical consumption.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes.

How you'll work

Job conditions:
Modality: On-site, in a technical workshop in Quilicura.

Schedule: Monday to Friday (flexible depending on the company).

Availability to support field work.
