The role

At Actuacions, ambientals, integrals, S.L., we are looking to hire a technician for the operational monitoring and daily technical management of the Flood Early Warning System (SATI) and the Weather Prediction Tool in the municipality of Gandía. Their main mission will be to guarantee the correct integration of meteorological and hydrological data in real time to anticipate and mitigate risks derived from extreme flooding and runoff phenomena.

What you'll do

  • Operation of the Early Warning System (SATI): Execution of technical work for the deployment, calibration, continuous adjustment of thresholds, and operational monitoring of the flood system.
  • Integration of Meteorological and Hydrological Models: Daily management of the cloud platform to integrate numerical prediction models (such as AEMET's Harmonie model with a 72-hour horizon and ECMWF ENS-IFS probabilistic predictions) with the system's hydrological and hydraulic modeling tools.
  • Real-Time Data Processing and Exploitation: Continuous processing and analysis of data from telemeasurement networks, SCADA systems, the network of 10 installed rain gauges, and AEMET's Doppler weather radar (X-Band).
  • Hydrological and Geostatistical Analysis: Application of advanced spatial interpolation methods (Kriging, Co-Kriging, etc.) to generate continuous rainfall maps and evaluation of intensities through intensity-duration (IDF) curves in real time.
  • Support in Pluvial Risk Management and Alerts: Technical evaluation of heavy rainfall episodes and monitoring of flood depths for high return periods (of more than 50 years). Configuration and dissemination of complex warnings and alerts through multiple channels (email, Telegram, and platform) in coordination with Flood Risk Emergency Plans.
  • Interoperability with External Systems: Ensuring the correct flow of information and connection with the "Digital Twin of the Sewerage System" developed under the framework of PERTE DIGITAMED.
