The role

We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal advice to the organization in Spain, especially to the teams of the different Renewable Energy business lines (processing, procurement, construction, project development, asset management, and others).

Drafting and negotiating EPC contracts, Balance of System (BOS), Turbine Supply Agreements (TSA), Balance of Plant (BOP), main equipment supply contracts (photovoltaic panel supply, trackers, meteorological towers, and transformers), and O&M contracts for wind farms, photovoltaic plants, storage facilities, and other projects.
Reviewing financing contracts (Project Finance), refinancing, hedging, and ancillary guarantees.
Drafting and negotiating construction, supply, and operation contracts for common infrastructure evacuation.
Preparing, drafting, and negotiating bank guarantees and corporate warranties within the framework of construction and supply contracts for renewable energy projects.
Analyzing risks for the company and preparing risk matrices. Assessing acceptable and unacceptable risks and mitigation measures.
Coordinating with contract management teams, project management, and asset management during the execution phase.
Monitoring, drafting, negotiating, and reviewing claims.
Studying and interpreting contractual clauses.
Monitoring potential contract breaches, tracking schedule management from a legal perspective, understanding and implementing the contractual mechanisms available to the developer, and the extra-contractual mechanisms derived from local legislation.
Managing local and international law firms.
Ensuring compliance with corporate regulations and compliance within the contractual framework of the projects.
