What we're looking for

We are looking for a Financial Manager with a global vision, who coordinates and supervises the team, reports directly to Management, and assumes financial reporting to the Group.

We are looking for a person with experience, judgment, and expertise, capable of combining a solid financial and analytical vision with an operational and decisive approach.

They must be able to analyze results, detect deviations, anticipate problems, and provide useful information for decision-making, without losing the ability to go into detail and get directly involved in the department's operations when necessary, especially regarding Sea, Air, and Land Operations, Invoicing, and Quality.

5+ years of experience in responsible financial positions.
Solid knowledge of accounting and finance.
Experience in process improvement and organization.
Analytical capacity and orientation toward control.
Autonomy, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
Resilience and the ability to work in demanding environments.
Interpersonal skills and tact in managing different stakeholders.
Ability to be a technical and professional reference for the team.

Nice to have

Previous experience in the freight forwarding, logistics, or transport sector will be especially valued, and very especially in sea freight forwarding.

The role

At Grupo Alonso, we are looking to hire a Financial Manager for one of our main freight forwarding companies.

We are looking for a profile with at least 5 years of experience, a solid technical foundation, and sufficient experience to take on a leading role within the financial area.

We are not just looking for a management profile. We are looking for a person who is very close to the operations, capable of diving into the details, detecting problems, organizing processes, and implementing solutions.

What you'll do

Supervise the functioning of the financial area: accounting, entries, accounts, payments, collections, treasury, and closings.
Ensure the quality and reliability of the figures and financial reporting.
Review, organize, and improve financial processes and procedures.
Identify inefficiencies and establish control and monitoring mechanisms.
Analyze results, deviations, and indicators, and convey conclusions to Management.
Technical coordination for the financial team in charge, accompanying and providing support to the current area managers in different delegations across Spain.
Coordinate with Management and with the Group's Corporate Services.
Promote a culture of order, rigor, and continuous improvement.
