The role

The objective of Psychology is primarily to help in the process of adapting to change or the user's situation, which can so greatly compromise a person's quality of life, through interventions on the user themselves and/or their family or living environment. The professional figure of the psychologist can help discern ways to enhance quality of life, as well as help family members and the user themselves to understand the processes of change in this life cycle.
What you'll do
- Neuropsychological assessments, emotional and behavioral diagnoses of users, and pertinent psychological reports, which will be used both internally to develop the user's individual care plan and externally, when establishing professional contact with other institutions.
- Create behavioral and emotional intervention strategies.
- Coordinate cognitive stimulation activities to enhance the basic cognitive processes that may be compromised in a dementia process (attention, memory, executive functions, etc.) and other groups to work on specific areas (anomic aphasia group).
- Coordinate leisure and free time activities that favor the user's well-being (outings to the street market, adapted baths, choir, music therapy, cineforum, etc.) and other activities that favor the process of introspection.
- Provide personalized care, training, and information to the users' families and to institutions that require it by virtue of their competencies.
- Attend and participate in the daily briefing, should the Center Management require it.
