What you'll do

🔧 Key Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Coordinate and participate in the technical development of biomethane and renewable gas projects from the early stages through to the preparation of the basic design for administrative processing.

  • Lead and participate in the preparation of key technical deliverables, ensuring the consistency and quality of all generated documentation.

  • Design and manage the project's permitting strategy, including authorization matrices, schedules, risk identification, critical paths, and mitigation measures.

  • Coordinate the preparation and review of documentation for the Integrated Environmental Authorization (AAI), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and sectoral permits.

  • Manage requirements, objections, and communications with the various Public Administrations.

  • Supervise and coordinate external consultants and specialized studies related to the environment, engineering, odors, noise, industrial safety, geotechnics, and other disciplines.

  • Act as the technical liaison with developers, process engineering firms, gas and electricity grid operators, as well as with public bodies in Spain and Portugal.

  • Manage the project's interfaces and interconnections with external infrastructure, services, and affected third parties.

  • Prepare projects for subsequent execution phases, supporting tendering processes, EPC contracting, technical due diligence, and owner's engineer functions.

What we're looking for

🔎 Required Profile:

Experience

  • Experience in the technical coordination of industrial or energy projects.

Technical skills

  • Technical development of projects from pre-feasibility, preliminary design, and basic design stages.

  • Definition of plant concepts, mass and energy balances.

  • Interpretation and development of process diagrams (PFD and P&ID).

  • Design of layouts and industrial design criteria.

  • Knowledge of administrative processing procedures: AAI, EIA, and sectoral permits.

  • Management of project interfaces related to gas, electricity, water, discharges, access, easements, and third parties.

Tools and methodology

  • Ability to coordinate complex, multidisciplinary technical documentation.

  • Experience in managing schedules, permit matrices, and risk analyses.

  • Spanish is essential.

Nice to have

  • Experience in biogas, biomethane, waste treatment, circular economy, or process engineering projects will be valued.

  • Experience in environmental processing and industrial safety will be valued.

  • Experience in preparing RFQs, EPC tenders, data rooms, and technical due diligence processes will be valued.

  • Technical English is recommended.

  • Portuguese is a plus.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
