OTRI Director

We are selecting a Director of OTRI (Research Results Transfer Office) to lead and manage the University's R&D&i projects and results transfer area, ensuring comprehensive advisory services to the research community, the acquisition and control of competitive funds, the protection of industrial property, and the promotion of university-company collaboration under established procedures.

• Design the university's transfer actions and draft regulations, protocols, and standards in the field of R&D&i.
• Detect, evaluate, and disseminate funding opportunities in public and public-private calls, both national and international.
• Prepare, execute, and control the budget of the assigned area within the VRITI.
• Design, manage, and resolve internal R&D&i and technology transfer aid programs.
• Advise teaching and research staff (PDI) on the justification of expenses, budgetary modifications, and project restructuring.
• Draft, review, and manage R&D&i contracts, collaboration agreements, and agreements with public and private entities.
• Provide technical-administrative support in the processes of protecting research results (patents, utility models, etc.).
• Advise and support initiatives for the creation of start-ups and spin-offs derived from university knowledge.
• Administer the contents of the research portal related to projects and transfer, promoting the visibility of the PDI.
• Organize scientific outreach activities and design and execute the Research training Plan.
• Provide technical-administrative assistance in the review of proposals, processing of authorizations, and issuance of certificates for researchers.
• Ensure compliance with quality system procedures, lead internal and external audits, and design improvement plans.
• Prepare institutional performance reports, coordinate the OTRI section of the research report, and manage data for official surveys (INE, CRUE, etc.).

Competency profile:

• University degree; a Doctorate will be valued.
• At least three years of experience, preferably in the technical-administrative management of R&D projects, management of technical offices, and relations with public administrations.
• Proficiency in project management tools and databases. Regular user of Microsoft Office.
• Advanced level of English.
• Ability to work in a team, adaptability to change, organizational capacity, and communication skills.
• Clear orientation to results, negotiation skills, and the ability to build effective bridges between the university and the business community.
• On-site position: Residency in Valencia or surrounding areas is essential.
