The role

H10 Hotels needs to recruit a 2nd Chef de Cuisine to work at the H10 Urquinaona Plaza hotel, in Barcelona.

What you'll do

Prepare action plans together with the Head Chef, involving team members and defining follow-up indicators.
Coordinate and supervise all activities and operations in their area on an ongoing basis, ensuring the proper and efficient allocation of resources (materials and personnel), and leveraging synergies between the different departments.
Lead, motivate, and train team members in the development of their work, coordinating, supervising, and handling their recruitment.
Implement and monitor: menu rotations, menus, event menus, etc.
Stay informed about and ensure compliance with all legal regulations applicable to their work area, including HACCP.
Control goods and suppliers.
Regularly supervise and inspect all services.
Control food cost (guests and employees).
Optimize daily food production according to meal plans.
Control consumption and leftovers.
Define and control minimum and maximum stock levels, and stock rotation.
Optimize purchases according to the price report from the purchasing department.
Cost breakdowns (escandallos) and waste.
Involvement in and supervision of monthly inventories.
Place orders for goods and materials.
