We are a founder-led company: every day we are lucky enough to have the vision of our founders to build better experiences together
Talent: we have come far because we rely on brilliant and committed people
And a little more about us...
Since we started this adventure in 2010, AvaiBook has become much more than a company. In 2016, we joined idealista to continue the adventure, sharing a culture, a way of doing and understanding things that sets us apart. Respect, tolerance, integrity, and transparency are part of our DNA.
We have a team of people representing more than 10 different nationalities, with diverse languages, profiles, cultures, and backgrounds. We value difference and learning from others; different beliefs and ways of thinking enrich us.
We promote equality in all areas, carrying out awareness and visibility actions for the LGTB+ community among our teams, in our advertising, and in the community in general.
We are committed to creating environments and spaces where people feel safe, protected, free from discrimination, and where equal opportunities prevail.
Likewise, promoting gender equality is another cornerstone of our commitment to our team. We are committed to developing measures that foster equality and support work-life balance, maternity, and paternity.
Can you imagine being part of the team? We would love to meet you!
At AvaiBook, we are looking for a frontend developer to help us improve our customers' experience on our SaaS platform.
We are part of the idealista.com ecosystem 💚 and we are dedicated to developing and marketing a SaaS for vacation rental and flexliving management. Since 2010, we have been helping property owners and tourism managers automate their day-to-day operations and optimize their business performance.
We are official partners and are integrated with Booking.com, Airbnb, VRBO, and Google, and we operate in Spain, Italy, and Portugal. Our team is made up of more than 60 professionals distributed across 6 departments, with a completely cross-functional product and business vision.
We are looking for a person with frontend experience, who is autonomous and capable of providing value from day one. You will be part of an experienced team that will support you, but we are looking for someone who can operate with independence and their own judgment.
You will work on the evolution of our frontend products: the owner extranet and the traveler booking engine. The main stack is React, Next.js, and TypeScript, and one of the key challenges will be to progressively evolve current technologies—PHP, jQuery, and Bootstrap—towards Next.js.
We are also evolving the way Product, UX, and Development collaborate. Currently, designs arrive at frontend already defined, but we want frontend to participate from the early stages, providing technical and product perspective during the exploration of solutions.
It is a process that we are still building and adjusting. Your experience, product judgment, and ability to work autonomously will be fundamental in helping us shape it.
Develop functionalities for the extranet (bookings, payments, accommodation management, statistics, guest communications) and the public booking engine.
Collaborate with UX and Product in the exploration of solutions.
We are building our design system and you can influence its decisions: you will create reusable components based on well-documented design tokens.
Participate in the progressive migration of our legacy front (PHP, jQuery, and Bootstrap) to Next.js, coexisting with both worlds for as long as it takes.
Strengthen the testing strategy (unit, component, and e2e with Playwright).
Integrate the frontend with our REST APIs alongside the backend, using DTOs to isolate the UI from the API.
Take care of performance, accessibility, and internationalization (ES, IT, PT, EN).
Work with Git Flow and participate in pull request reviews, giving and receiving clear, concrete, and respectful feedback.
Use AI as a work tool in your day-to-day (development, tests, review, documentation) and share with the team what works to define good practices.
idealista is a leading Spanish real estate and classifieds technology company, operating one of the most visited property portals in Spain and Italy. The company's platform connects buyers, sellers, and renters through a comprehensive online marketplace, offering listings for homes, commercial properties, and vehicles. With a strong focus on data and technology, idealista has grown into a major digital player in the Southern European property market, employing a large team of engineers, data scientists, and product specialists.
In Spain, idealista is headquartered in Madrid and maintains a significant technology hub there, making it a relevant destination for international tech and product talent. The company's culture is data-driven and product-focused, with a strong emphasis on engineering excellence and user experience. For international hires, idealista offers the opportunity to work on high-traffic consumer platforms in a Mediterranean lifestyle, with Spanish language skills being a plus but not always a requirement for technical roles.
We are a team that values transparency, closeness, quality in work, and humility. In practice:
Transparency: we share context, decisions, and also doubts.
Closeness: we speak clearly and help each other, even though we work remotely.
Quality: we care about details and do not take anything for granted just because it works.
Humility: we recognize mistakes, ask without fear, and learn from each other.
Therefore, in addition to a good technical level, we are looking for someone eager to build a team with these values.
