The role
The selected person will join the Machines Operations area and will be responsible for managing the procurement and monitoring of the manufacturing of heavy boilermaking parts, coordinating with suppliers and internal areas. Their main functions will be:
What you'll do
Place orders for heavy boilermaking parts, treatments/painting, and machining where applicable
Monitor the manufacturing plan for each part, ensuring compliance with the agreed delivery deadline
Ensure that in the planning of each part, all stop/inspection points, both internal and with the client, are clearly defined
Be the sole interlocutor with the supplier, so that all doubts, needs for clarification, definition of dates, etc.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Industrialization, SQA, Technical Office, Reception, Production Management... in order to respond adequately to any issue that arises during the manufacturing of the part
Manage all design changes that arise with the suppliers and, in turn, negotiate both the price and the possible impact on the deadline.
Periodically visit suppliers to see the status and progress of each part, acting as the "client".
