The role
Ingeteam, a leading company specializing in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is looking for a Contract Manager to join the Legal & Insurances team at its Zamudio or Sarriguren facilities.
To ensure that contracts associated with the company's relevant projects are managed correctly throughout their entire life cycle, minimizing legal and financial risks through the proper identification, monitoring, and documentation of contractually agreed obligations.
The selected person will play a key role in risk prevention, the protection of project economic results, and coordination between the legal, technical, and business areas.
What you'll do
Analyze client and subcontractor contracts in detail (scope, milestones, payments, penalties, guarantees, variations, causes for suspension/termination, dispute resolution).
Coordinate with Legal, Business, and other internal areas and, when necessary, with external legal counsel on pre-litigation or litigation matters.
Prepare and maintain an up-to-date matrix of contractual obligations, as well as the schedule of milestones, deliverables, and notifications.
Perform periodic monitoring of contracts together with the Project Management teams, technical areas, Finance, and Purchasing.
Ensure the monitoring and fulfillment of the obligations assumed by the parties throughout the entire term of the contract.
Detect contractual events that require formal notification (delays, variations, force majeure, etc.)
Anticipate possible financial, legal, and operational impacts derived from the execution of contracts.
Draft and review contractual communications: notices, reservations of rights, responses to clients, requirements, and change proposals.
Support the defense strategy against claims.
Standardize templates and contribute to the improvement of internal contract management procedures.
