Power Electronics Engineer — Converters & Control

Ingeteam, a leading company specializing in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is looking to hire a Power HW Engineer in the Converters & Controls Technological Area in Zamudio.

Their main functions will be:
-Specifying requirements, design, and validation of power converters
-Sizing power components and PCB design
-Collaborating on thermal, EMC, and mechanical design to integrate environmental requirements
-Liaising with suppliers for component design
-Collaborating with systems and integrated software teams
-Setting up and characterizing prototypes
-Verifying and validating the design. Characterizing performance and operating margins
-Industrializing new technologies and solutions
-Collaborating with manufacturing teams and the supply chain to obtain mature products in production

Requirements:
-Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with extensive knowledge of Power Electronics
-Minimum B2 English
-Minimum B1 Spanish
-Experience in high-performance DC/DC and DC/AC power converter design: Design, tuning, and testing of isolated and non-isolated high-frequency converters; Full lifecycle of power equipment, from schematics to component design, documentation, supplier communication, and prototype creation; Performing modeling and analysis of dynamic systems, research and development of technology from concept to implementation; Real-time simulations such as Matlab/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, Spice; Specification of gate drivers for converters
-Knowledge of: high-frequency power conversion or design and analysis of power distribution systems, including analysis of power electronics topologies, power components, magnetic elements, and capacitor technologies
-Safety, EMC, thermal, and mechanical requirements
-Teamwork, proactivity, innovation, and orientation toward quality and results
