About the role

Ingeteam, a leading company specialized in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is looking to hire a Power Electronics Hardware Engineer for the Power Converters & Controls Technology Area in Zamudio.

Main responsibilities will include:
-Specifying requirements, designing, and validating power converters
-Sizing power components and designing PCBs
-Collaborating on thermal design, EMC, and mechanical design to meet environmental requirements
-Liaising with suppliers for component design
-Collaborating with embedded systems and software teams

Requirements:
-Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with extensive knowledge of Power Electronics
-Minimum B2 English level
-Experience in designing high-efficiency DC/DC and DC/AC power converters: design, tuning, and testing of isolated and non-isolated high-frequency converters Full lifecycle of power equipment, from schematics to component design, documentation, supplier communication, and prototype creation Modeling and analysis of dynamic systems, R&D from concept to implementation Real-time simulations using Matlab/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, Spice Specification of gate drivers for converters
-Knowledge of: high-frequency power conversion or design and analysis of power distribution systems, including analysis of power electronics topologies, power components, magnetic elements, and capacitor technologies
-Safety, EMC, thermal, and mechanical requirements
-Teamwork, proactivity, innovation, and results orientation
