BIM Tekla Steel Structure Modeler

• Education and Experience:
  • Technical training related to Drafting, Industrial Design, Steel Construction, BIM or related specialties.
  • Experience in steel structure modeling using 3D modeling tools.
  • Experience in issuing fabrication drawings for steel structures.
  • Experience in developing documentation intended for fabrication, assembly, and erection.
  • We are considering Middle and Senior level profiles, adjusting the level of responsibility to the experience provided.
• Software and Technical Knowledge:
  • TEKLA Structures for 3D modeling of steel structures and the issuance of fabrication drawings.
  • Experience working with the hierarchy and organization of models using Cubes, Lifting Units, Delivery Units, and Single Parts.
  • Experience in the preparation and management of Erection Drawings.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD to perform touch-ups, adjustments, or assemblies when necessary.
  • Ability to develop fabrication drawings, general structure, floorings, connections, anchors, assembly, erection, and lifting drawings.
  • Ability to perform measurements and extraction of information from the model for subsequent processing in Excel.
• Languages:
  • English: necessary during the approval phase of the documentation and as the primary language for resolving doubts and communicating with the client.
  • French: necessary for the final delivery of documentation.
  • It will be necessary to be able to use both languages to issue documentation, review, and respond to comments, which may be supplemented with translation tools.
  • English will carry more weight as it is the official language for technical communication with the client during the project development.

  • Technical rigor and attention to detail in the development of models and fabrication documentation.
  • Autonomy in the use of TEKLA and the preparation of deliverables.

Job Offer: TEKLA BIM Steel Structure Modeler

At Grupo INVOIN, we are looking to hire TEKLA BIM Steel Structure Modelers to participate in an important industrial engineering project, focused on the modeling and development of steel structures associated with industrial processes.

We are looking for professionals with experience in 3D modeling of steel structures with TEKLA, development of fabrication models, and the issuance of fabrication, assembly, erection, connection, and anchor drawings. The position requires the ability to develop the necessary documentation from the model through to its subsequent fabrication and assembly.

• Model steel structures associated with industrial facilities and processes.
• Develop 3D fabrication models using TEKLA Structures, in accordance with the technical criteria defined for the project.
• Prepare and issue fabrication drawings based on the developed models.
• Prepare general drawings of structures and floorings.
• Develop drawings for steel connections and anchors.
• Prepare assembly drawings for the different structures.
• Prepare assembly and lifting drawings necessary for the fabrication and assembly phases.
• Issue material take-offs in Excel based on the information contained in the models.
• Develop the technical documentation necessary for fabrication, ensuring its consistency with the 3D model.
• Review and respond to technical comments during the different review and approval phases of the documentation.
• Coordinate with the project technical team, working according to their planning, engineering criteria, and validation processes.
