At Izertis, we are looking to expand our team by bringing in a QA Architect to join a stable project for one of our largest clients.
We are looking for a QA to join the company's Software Architecture team, within the Quality Assurance area, performing a key role both at a technical level and in leadership and technological representation.
The selected person will work closely with the Principal Architect, participating in a high-impact strategic project. This is a senior, hands-on role, with a strong technical, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration component.
Collaborate directly with the Principal Architect at one of the company's five main clients, in an international retail sector environment.
Lead a team of 5 quality engineers, acting as a technical and organizational reference.
Be an active part of the team, contributing directly to the project's tools, solutions, and technical practices.
Collaborate with the Principal Architect within the Izertis Architecture team, being the direct technological lead for two of the company's strategic projects (top priority).
Perform technical supervision tasks, guaranteeing quality, architectural alignment, and best practices.
Contribute actively to the technical development and evolution of said projects.
Design and execute Proof of Concepts (POCs) related to:
New potential clients.
New tools and technologies.
Validation of architectural and quality solutions.
Provide support for high-level technical pre-sales, participating in the definition and defense of technical proposals and complex architectures.
Collaborate with the company's cross-functional Architecture team, considered the spearhead team at a technological level, contributing to the definition of standards, best practices, and corporate technical vision.
What are we looking for from you?
Quality strategy and processes
Experience defining and implementing quality strategies and processes in product development teams (shift-left, testing pyramid, quality metrics).
Test types
Experience designing and combining different testing levels: unit, integration, component, screenshot/visual, and E2E, as well as tools associated with each.
Automation by platform
Web: experience with Playwright (or equivalent frameworks).
Android: experience with Compose Testing (or Espresso).
iOS: experience with XCUITest.
CI/CD and quality gates
Experience defining and implementing quality gates in GitHub Actions pipelines (coverage, suite execution, PR blocking, reporting).
Collaboration with development
Experience training and supporting developers in testing best practices, fostering the team's autonomy in quality.
Use of AI
Experience applying AI tools (Copilot, agents, LLMs) to accelerate test case generation, test implementation, and suite migration, critically evaluating the quality of what is generated.
Test management
Experience with test management tools (Xray, Jira) and with Gherkin/BDD.
Cross-functional skills (soft skills)
Clear communication with technical and non-technical profiles.
Ability to influence and generate adoption without hierarchical authority, key to driving quality practices and training developers.
Orientation towards continuous improvement: identifying bottlenecks, measuring the impact of changes, and proactively proposing improvements.
Autonomy and proactivity.
Location preference will be A Coruña, attending our office located in the city where you will work under a hybrid model.
Flexible schedule with reduced hours on Fridays.
Intensive working hours during the months of July and August.
