What we're looking for
- More than 6 years in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or advanced BI roles.
- Extensive experience with dbt and cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
- Advanced SQL optimization, data modeling (star schema, OBT), and Git workflows.
- MVP orientation, proactive attitude, and the ability to find innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Advanced English
Nice to have
- Experience with Omni Analytics will be highly valued. Alternatively, solid experience in Looker (LookML), Power BI, or Tableau, with a clear understanding of semantic layers and governed metrics.
- Strong understanding of digital products, online services, and high-traffic platform dynamics. Being familiar with Marketing and Finance data is highly desirable.
The role
For one of our clients, a major technology consultancy, we are looking for an agile and product-oriented Senior Analytics Engineer to drive a modern data architecture. You will be the bridge between raw data and business value for digital products and online services. You will adopt an MVP mindset to launch data products quickly, iterate with agility, and provide valuable insights (insights) for our Marketing and Finance teams. You will work with a cutting-edge technology stack: creating robust pipelines in dbt and BigQuery, and exposing data through our next-generation semantic layer in Omni Analytics. Your responsibilities will be:
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable models in dbt on top of BigQuery. Transform raw data into clean, tested, documented, and analysis-ready data marts.
- Adopt an agile and product-oriented mindset. Launch data reports to provide quick answers to business and product managers, subsequently iterating based on their feedback.
- Implement and govern business logic in Omni Analytics (or similar modern BI tools), ensuring that metrics are defined once and serve as a single source of truth for everyone.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Finance departments to understand the metrics of our digital platforms (CAC, LTV, ROI, conversion funnels, retention, and monthly active users - MAUs) and translate them into technical solutions.
- Apply software engineering best practices to the world of data: version control (Git), automated testing, and CI/CD workflows for data pipelines.
