Requirements

What we're looking for

At least 5 years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server Administrator.
Experience administering SQL Server 2016, 2019 and/or 2022.
Knowledge in backup and recovery administration (Backup & Recovery).
Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Knowledge of T-SQL.
Experience working in on-premise, virtualized, or cloud environments.
Technical English level.

Nice to have

Experience with Windows Server.
Knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
Experience in Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, and Microsoft 365.
Knowledge of Azure or AWS.
Experience in automation with PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform.
Knowledge of virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware).
Microsoft, Azure, AWS, or SQL Server certifications.

The role

At Logicalis Spain, we are looking to hire a Senior SQL Server Administrator to join our Infrastructure and Managed Services team. We are looking for a person with extensive experience in the administration of Microsoft SQL Server environments, oriented towards the optimization, automation, and continuous improvement of critical platforms, participating in both managed services and technological transformation projects.

What you'll do

Administration, maintenance, and support of Microsoft SQL Server platforms.
Installation, configuration, upgrading, and patching of SQL Server instances.
Management of databases, capacity, storage, and performance.
Administration of backups, restorations, and recovery plans.
Management and support of high availability environments (Always On Availability Groups and Failover Clustering).
Diagnosis and resolution of complex incidents.
Optimization of database and query performance.
Automation of tasks using PowerShell and T-SQL.
Preparation of technical documentation and root cause analysis (RCA).
Participation in migration, consolidation, and platform modernization projects.
