Agentic AI Engineer Intern

At Mango, we are evolving our conversational assistant that serves millions of customers in 17 languages and 69 countries. Our assistant autonomously resolves most Customer Service interactions and has a direct impact on the user experience and the business. It also inspires our customers by recommending outfits with our Mango Stylist recommendation algorithm.
We are building a new generation of the assistant on an Agentic AI architecture and are looking for an Agentic AI Engineer to lead this technological leap.

Our team
We are an agile, multidisciplinary team: Tech Lead, Product Owner, software engineers, and computational linguists.

Your mission:
Provide support in the design and development of autonomous AI agents that resolve real customer interactions at scale, ensuring reliability, scalability, and an exceptional user experience.

Your role, providing support in:
• Designing and developing conversational agents with Generative AI and
multi-agent architectures.
• Building and maintaining the assistant's backend in Python with FastAPI,
deployed on Google Cloud Platform (Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, Secret Manager,
Vertex AI).
• Integrating the assistant with external systems such as Salesforce, Mango APIs, and
channels such as mango.com, the Mango app, WhatsApp, Instagram, and phone.
• Collaborating with computational linguists on prompt strategy,
guardrails, and evaluations that ensure reliable responses aligned with the
Mango brand.
• Implementing and maintaining observability and evaluation pipelines for LLMs
to measure and improve response quality.
• Applying security and privacy best practices in the development of the
assistant: PII detection and masking in conversations, secure
secret management, and GDPR compliance.

What we are looking for in you
• An organized, proactive, customer-oriented person with the ability to
work in a team.
• A student of Computer Engineering or a related field.

Estamos construyendo una nueva generación del asistente sobre una arquitectura Agentic AI y buscamos un/a Agentic AI Engineer que sea protagonista de este salto tecnológico.

Tu misión:
Dar soporte en el diseño y desarrollo de agentes autónomos de IA que resuelvan interacciones reales de clientes a escala, garantizando fiabilidad, escalabilidad y una experiencia de usuario excepcional.

Tu rol, dar apoyo en:
• Diseñar y desarrollar agentes conversacionales con IA Generativa y
arquitecturas multi-agente.
• Construir y mantener el backend del asistente en Python con FastAPI,
desplegado en Google Cloud Platform (Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, Secret Manager,
Vertex AI).
• Integrar el asistente con sistemas externos como Salesforce, APIs de Mango y
canales como mango.com, app Mango, WhatsApp, Instagram y teléfono.
• Colaborar con lingüistas computacionales en la estrategia de prompts,
guardrails y evaluaciones que garantizan respuestas fiables y alineadas con la
marca Mango.
• Implementar y mantener pipelines de observabilidad y evaluación de LLMs
para medir y mejorar la calidad de las respuestas.
• Aplicar buenas prácticas de seguridad y privacidad en el desarrollo del
asistente: detección y enmascaramiento de PII en conversaciones, gestión
segura de secretos y cumplimiento con GDPR.

Lo que buscamos en ti
• Persona organizada, proactiva, orientada al cliente y con capacidad de
trabajar en equipo.
• Estudiante de Ingeniería Informática o similar.
