Requirements

• Deep knowledge of AWS and its core services:

Compute: EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS
Storage: S3, EFS, FSx
Networking: VPC, TGW, Direct Connect, ELB, API Gateway
Security: Advanced IAM, WAF, Security Hub, GuardDuty
Databases: RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB

• Understanding of modern architectures: microservices, serverless, event-driven, etc.
• Experience with enterprise architectures and regulated environments.
• Solid experience with Openshift.
• Level certifications: AWS Solutions Architect - Professional
• Experience with data architectures in the cloud.
• Experience with Landing Zones and complex platforms.
• Previous experience managing teams

Experience

• At least 6 years of experience in architecture positions, cloud architecture, or related technical roles.
• At least 4 years of experience directly designing solutions and architectures in the cloud.
• At least 4 years of experience with Openshift.
• Demonstrable experience leading complex migration/modernization projects.
• Minimum 3 years managing teams.

The ability to lead and manage teams, strategic vision of technological architecture, adaptability, learning, and interpersonal skills such as communication and talent development will be valued.

• Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes), API management, and modern architectures, as well as experience with observability, monitoring, and logging services, will be valued.
• Valuable certification: AWS Advanced Networking.
• Valuable certification: Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator

At Mapfre we are looking for an Infrastructure and Cloud Architect who will be responsible for designing, governing, and leading the technological architecture in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.). They will provide strategic vision, innovation, and experience, and will be a reference in initiatives for transformation, modernization, and standardization of platforms.

They will ensure that the designed architecture is efficient, scalable, secure, and meets security/corporate requirements. They will be a reference in the Architecture area and will collaborate with other teams in the area.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern scalable, secure, and modular cloud architectures.
• Design and lead initiatives for simplification, standardization, and technological modernization.
• Design and lead application migration plans to the cloud.
• Design high-availability (HA), scalability, and resilience cloud architectures.
• Ensure security, compliance, and cost efficiency (FinOps).
• Collaborate with architecture, development, cloud, security, etc. areas.
• Drive automation, CI/CD, and observability strategies, etc.
• Document the Cloud Architecture (logical and physical).
• Coordinate with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure proper use of the architecture design.
• Design and govern a Networking architecture for the platforms.
