About the role

At Mapfre we are looking for an Infrastructure and Cloud Architect who will be responsible for designing, governing, and leading the technological architecture in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.). They will provide strategic vision, innovation, and experience, and will be a reference in initiatives for transformation, modernization, and standardization of platforms.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Design and govern scalable, secure, and modular cloud architectures.
  • Design and lead initiatives for simplification, standardization, and technological modernization.
  • Design and lead application migration plans to the cloud.
  • Design high-availability (HA), scalability, and resilience cloud architectures.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and cost efficiency (FinOps).
  • Collaborate with architecture, development, cloud, security, etc. areas.
  • Drive automation, CI/CD, and observability strategies, etc.
  • Document the Cloud Architecture (logical and physical).
  • Coordinate with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure proper use of the architecture design.

Databases: RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB

  • Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes), API management, and modern architectures, as well as experience with observability, monitoring, and logging services, will be valued.

  • Experience with enterprise architectures and regulated environments.
  • Solid experience with Openshift.
