Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in frontend development, working intensively with Angular in large-scale production projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in more than 10 complex application projects where the frontend technical design was defined from scratch (module structure, state management, backend communication patterns).
  • Expert and verifiable mastery of TypeScript and the Angular ecosystem (RxJS, NgRx or similar, reactive forms, lazy loading).
  • Demonstrable track record of making high-level technical decisions regarding frontend design, while remaining active in daily development, not just in design or review tasks.
  • Strong experience using AI agents in building frontends, as well as developing with development agents such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode, or OpenHands.
  • Broad knowledge of the UI/UX solution ecosystem (design systems, component libraries, tools like Figma) and how to translate it into a real Angular frontend.
  • Experience with frontend testing (Jasmine, Karma, Cypress, Playwright, or similar) in production projects.
  • A clear vocation for continuing to program actively: we are looking for someone with a holistic vision who wants to keep their hands in the code, not just supervising.
  • Experience with Spec Driven Development (SDD) methodology.
  • C1 English level, with the ability to collaborate in international projects and teams.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Proactive attitude and a strong orientation toward problem solving.
  • Communication skills, with the ability to adapt the message to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Genuine technological curiosity and capacity for continuous learning.

Nice to have

Additionally, we will value:

  • Experience in React.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the insurance sector or in large-scale corporate applications.

  • 25 vacation days per year (you would receive the proportional days starting from your start date).
  • Additionally, at Mapfre we do not work on December 24, December 31, or January 5.
  • 28 hours per year for personal matters + 3 recoverable days during Easter week.
  • The opportunity to participate in volunteer projects.
  • Padel courts and a gym in our offices.

The role

The project...

Shape the visible face of an agentic platform that is redefining software development.

In the Corporate Technology Area, Reef Lab team, we are looking for someone with absolute mastery of Angular and a holistic vision of how a robust, scalable, and maintainable frontend should be built, without ceasing to enjoy programming every day. The interface of this platform must be up to the standard of what lies behind it: AI agents covering the entire software development lifecycle.

What exactly is this platform? It is a proprietary Mapfre product that covers the software development lifecycle from end to end: specialized AI agents help define and complete project requirements, generate and review code, build interfaces, and execute testing automatically. The goal is to accelerate each of those phases by relying on AI agents, and to become Mapfre's internal standard for developing AI-assisted software.

In this role, you will not only build the interface of the platform itself: you will also define the technical guidelines under which AI agents generate frontends for other projects, and provide technical support to teams in different countries using those projects.

This platform is not limited to a single market: it is designed to be deployed in all the countries where Mapfre has a presence. Whoever joins will be part of a project with true international scope, with a direct impact on teams and users across multiple geographies, and with the professional projection that entails.

What you'll do

  • Define the structure, patterns, and standards of the platform's frontend in Angular.
  • Develop complex interfaces that clearly expose the work of the AI agents throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Make technical decisions regarding the evolution of the frontend, while remaining involved in active code development.
  • Collaborate closely with product and backend profiles to ensure a consistent experience from start to finish.
  • Ensure performance, accessibility, and code quality across the entire presentation layer.
  • Establish the technical design guides for the frontend (module structure, state management, conventions) that the rest of the team will follow.
  • Audit and elevate the technical level of existing Angular code, participating in code reviews for other developers.
  • Provide technical guidelines to AI agents so they build frontends according to defined standards and help build the platform that orchestrates them.
  • Provide technical support to teams in different countries that use the projects deployed through the platform.
