Deputy Director - Claims

• More than 5 years of experience in managing cross-functional Technology projects with the coordination of multidisciplinary teams (countries/units, corporate, business, technology, security...), preferably in the field of Solutions.
• Experience in the planning and execution of strategies in a corporate environment.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Technical knowledge of Claims.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Business vision and knowledge.
• Knowledge of the technological strategy of Insurance Cores.
• Knowledge of risk analysis.
• English level B2 or higher.
• Leadership, negotiation, and influence skills within the organization in a complex organizational environment, with a highly collaborative working style.
• Great capacity for team management and leadership.
• Analytical capacity, problem-solving, autonomy, proactivity, and communication skills.
• Orientation towards achieving objectives, order, and quality.
• Dynamism, ease of learning, and adaptation to change.

• Higher university education, preferably in Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • Certified complementary training in Project Management is valued.

At Mapfre, Corporate Technology Area, Software Engineering, we are looking for the Deputy Director - Software Engineering for Claims to lead the design, development, and implementation of these capabilities within the Reef ecosystem (Reef.Claims), supporting the achievement of the Company's strategic objectives. They will facilitate the link and understanding between business and technology managers to achieve a coordinated and efficient evolution of the main claims capabilities in the Reef ecosystem.

We are looking for a person with excellent leadership skills and the ability to build relationships with a highly collaborative working style. We need a profile with solid technological foundations and knowledge of Claims. It is essential to have a combination of technical knowledge of insurance business processes, as well as experience in portfolio management and as a leader of cross-functional technological projects with multidisciplinary teams.

Lead the evolution of claims solutions within the Reef.Claims ecosystem, defining the technological and functional strategy that allows MAPFRE to advance in the transformation of its core claims management capabilities. You will be the link between business and technology, driving global, scalable solutions aligned with the company's strategic objectives.

• Define and prioritize the evolution strategy for Reef.Claims.
• Advise countries on the definition of implementation roadmaps for claims management capabilities.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of new functional capabilities within the Reef architecture.
• Act as an expert reference in claims solutions, managing demand from analysis through to production.
• Analyze and incorporate new technological capabilities and market solutions that add value to the ecosystem.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage providers in technological projects of corporate scope.
• Drive the continuous improvement of the solution, defining KPIs, metrics, and dashboards for monitoring results.
• Contribute to the training and development of other professionals within the organization.
